People need to stop assuming that just because a Celtic drives, it means there needs to be free throws.  Sometimes it's good heat defense, sometimes it's bad shots, sometimes it's just not being able to finish a dunk or layup.

It's been all of the above tonight.

If Pierce yells when he drives, it's his little trick to put the pressure on the refs to blow the whistle...lately though, they haven't been falling for it.

So I realized how the refs make the box score look respectable when it comes to fouls and what not. The Heat bench take up all the fouls, usually ending up in foul trouble. The stars get maybe one or so.. The fouls at the moment are both at 15 with LeBron and Wade making up two.. the rest are on Miller, Anthony, and Turiaf with 10. They couldn't fool me!

(Sorry, I was wondering how in the heck they tried to make this look even in the box score)
Take me where the Boston Celtics fans roam free without judgment from my enemies.

This Heat team is very difficult to come back on.  Need some 3-point shooting.

Need stops

The Heat do it though... do we need to fall more?

I don't see much chance of us winning this game, though they've fought admirably.
The Heat are the better team.

Our guys would be much more confident going to the hoop if they got calls too, and it didnt lead to a hail mary cherry pick 2 points for the scums of the nba.

I would agree on that point, they're getting mauled going to the paint. This is Stern's league, so I'm not surprised...

I think we're defending OK other than back cuts on ball denial.

The Celtics don't deserve to win this game with the defense they're playing.

another quarter in the offensive toilet.

on the few occasions where the C's were able to make a drive, refs allowed Cheatles to mug them on the way to the hoop

it's hard to score when the other team is allowed to hack you every time you go to the basket
which is part of my point.  the other point is that there were far too offensive sets that looked like they were marginally coordinated

Just as people need to quit assuming - including the criminals working this game - that every Heat play at the rim is clean.

Come on, man. There have been numerous uncalled fouls at the rim tonight.

Wade and Lebron have less fouls then KG combined. Must be nice to be them. I don't ever want to hear them complain to the refs ever. They should be on their knees thanking them.

zero calls at the rim. what p---es me off is that somebody will probably look at the stat sheer later and say "hey, look! the heat had more points in the paint, therefore they were just being more aggressive! no wonder they got more calls."

yeah, well, it's kinda hard to score points in the paint when you're getting fouled like crazy. not to mention the other half of their "paint" points will be from fast breaks.

Maybe so, but I find it hard to argue that the Celtics have an efficient offense, at least in comparison to that of the Heat.
In addition, we're definitely missing Avery Bradley out there, as Miami is taking advantage of the personnel mismatches against Wade.

Miami have played some terrific defense tonight.
