I never have cared for the HEAT.   I do not like any FLA teams, their fans are some of the worst.   Quiet arenas who act as if they don't know when to cheer or the like and they only come out for a winner.   I know they have good weather and probably better things to do but their fan base is pathetic.

Our chances are small, but I'm positive SA or OKC will beat them.

MIA are the saints on the NBA. Both teams are filled with nothing bit low class losers.

If Lebron and Wade attack the basket, they are unstoppable. They should never shoot jumpers.  Wade has so many moves to get to the hoop and/or get fouled. One play he glided by Hibbert and banked it in with his left hand. He's too strong for small players and too quick for big players.

The last 3 games are the first time since they've been together that they played like I always thought they should play. Attack, attack, attack. The duo took 63% of the team's shots last night.  And they should do that all the time, even if Bosh comes back.

With that said, I hope one of the West teams (San Antonio) can shut them down because the Celts or Sixers won't do it.

Honestly, if they play like the last 10 quarters, they will beat the teams out west even without Bosh (though I have heard Bosh is optimistic about playing in game 3 of the ECF - big doctor's appointment Sunday should give a better indication).
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I  don't think the Heat are that good especially without Bosh. They are a great front running team but overall not that impressive.

I think the celts will beat them and I think the west teams would take 4 or 5 games to beat them.

The way they need to play on both sides of the ball isn't conducive for an entire playoff run. They only have 1 gear and that will burn them out eventually.

Plus good coaching and good talent helps beat then as well. Although I will say that the refs can definitely make the Heat the beneficiaries of some games which can be a problem

get use to em.  King James isn't going anywhere anytime soon.  I'll be rooting for them in the FInals.  Can't let the Zombie Sonics win.  It'll depress the heck out of my friends here in Seattle.

Will you be rooting for them in the Eastern conference finals as well?

Interesting perspective!

Your state might be the only one NOT rooting for OKC in these playoffs besides Florida, Texas and Mass.

If we aren't in the Finals, I'd root for OKC in a heartbeat.  Fans are phenominal..Atmosphere is terrific and they were goodhearted toward us C's fans.

And they have Perk.

The Miami Heat are the worst thing to happen in the league since the L.A. Lakers.

People really think the Heat or OKC could beat the Spurs, even with the refs on their side?  The Spurs are on another level right now

The Spur are another team that I would appreciate knocking them off. The Heat can't contend against a real team, playing team basketball that has an identity. The Spurs know what their style of play is, and with some quality bigs they can play the Heat well.
Take me where the Boston Celtics fans roam free without judgment from my enemies.

Hopefully these guys are too.

HAHAHA...I am rolling! That is classic!  I just saved that pic.  It's the funniest thing next to the comment one of the tv analyst made, calling the our starting five The Jurasic Five lol

DO you mean if Philly beats us tonight?  Yes... absolutely.  I'll be 100% on board with Miami the second the Celtics are eliminated.

I have no problem with LeBron James.  Most people hate him.  I don't.  I think he's incredible.  I've followed his career to some extent since I first saw him on the cover of Sports Illustrated as a kid.  Saw his nationally televised ESPN game as a high schooler and he more than lived up to expectations.  Watched him as a rookie and was impressed by his ability as a teenager.  Watched him carry a garbage Cleveland team to the Finals... one of the most brilliant individual performances ever against the Pistons to get there.  Then saw him clearly become the greatest player in the game today...  Unfortunately (for him) coinciding with the formation of our Big 3.  The Celtics owned him in Cleveland (much like the Pistons owned a young Jordan).  He paid his dues... the guy has been in the league for years.  He's the same age as JOrdan when he won his first title.  I'll be happy for Bron if he wins a title.  He certainly has worked hard enough to get to the top of the mountain.

I get why people hate him for "The Decision".  Even with "The Decision" I give him a bit of a pass.  #1 - Cleveland sucks.  I would have bailed for Miami too.   #2 - I have no sympathy for Dan Gilbert... he made the dumb decision to buy the team with LeBron already on it.  Talk about buying high.  Clearly those two weren't very close.  #3 - From my few run-ins with Cavs fans on various message boards during LeBron's prime... I thought they were a bunch of whiny front-running punks.  No sympathy for their fanbase.   #4 - "The Decision" TV Special was incredibly stupid, but I blame that more on Bron's handlers than Bron himself.  People seem to forget that this is EXACTLY what everyone wanted.  I remember Bill Simmons writing about it a year before...  how LeBron should televise his decision nationally like a College recruit picking his team... with three team hats in front of him and then he picks one up and puts it on. Simmons joked that if it was on Pay Per View, he'd pay money to see it.   Then LeBron actually does what everyone wanted (high drama televised decision with part of the proceeds going to charity) and everyone hates him.  Don't get me wrong... it was executed poorly and in retrospect it was a horrible idea, but I enjoyed the heck out of it. #5 - Everyone talked about how moving to Miami would tarnish his legacy... how he'd be 2nd banana to Dwayne Wade and never reach his individual potential.  Meh... for what it's worth, LeBron just wrapped up one of the most impressive statistical seasons in the history of basketball and won his 3rd MVP award (should have been 4th in a row, but nobody was willing to give it to him last year... I said at the time that Rose would go down as one of the most overrated MVP winners in NBA history).  Wade and Bosh are clearly talented, but that's Bron's team and nobody doubts who would be Finals MVP if it gets that far....

When the dust settles what you have here is a wildly entertaining, INCREDIBLY talented superhuman basketball player that deserves our appreciation as fans of the sport.  Look... when I was a young kid I HATED Jordan.  Especially when I was REALLY young in the early 90s and the Celtics were still mildly relevant.  I saw Jordan as a threat to Larry and as a little 8 year old.   I didn't give a crap when Jordan retired in 93.  I was 11 years old.  He was the enemy.  But when he came back a couple years later the excitement was too much to avoid.  By the time the guy retired the 2nd time around, I freakin adored MIchael Jordan.  He was a basketball god.  How could you hate Jordan?... he was unbelievably talented.  He was the star of stars.  You just had to appreciate his brilliance.  I'm seeing that same thing happen with Kobe Bryant, actually.  As Kobe has gotten older I'm starting to see people starting to ease off on the hate a bit.  Even some (sicko) Celtic fans have showed appreciation and respect for the guy's talent... going as far as to say they'd root for Kobe if the Celtics got eliminated.  I understand where these Kobe apologists are coming from, because it's the same place I was coming from as a kid warming to Jordan.  That said, I think you're all high on crack... Kobe is a Laker... I'll hate him forever.   Kobe can die in a fire for all I care.  I'll never root for a Laker.  But Bron?... Bron plays on the freakin Miami Heat.  As a Celtic fan why on earth would I care if the Miami freakin Heat win a title?  They have nothing to do with me (I actually rooted for them in 2006, because I wanted Shaq to one-up Kobe).  Eventually people are going to warm to LeBron and appreciate him for his talent.  I'm just ahead of the curve this time around.

I'm almost in the same boat as LarBrd, in that I appreciate basketball played well.

LeBron plays the game of basketball astonishingly well. So does Kobe. So does Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and a host of other NBA players who have donned various uniforms and shoe companies over the years. I have seen those guys each do things that elevate the game (and often themselves) to the level of an art form. I don't hate on LBJ for that.

Nor do I hate on him as a person. I don't know him.

But this dude is the most talented basketball player of his generation, and he's going to be around for a long while. And he chose to squander his prime prancing around south beach, taking ill-advised cues from his fashion designers, and latching on to another pair of the top five/ten players in the game to, I suspect, ensure that his legacy includes at least one championship and he isn't regulated to that weird Barkley-Malone zone for superstars that didn't end up with rings.

That bums me out.

Also, in regards to the "most valuable" thing... I don't think LBJ should have won it this year, because I don't think MVP should be " the Best player on a winning team most people enjoy watching."

Ultimately, I think that the Rookie & Sixth man awards get a whole lot closer to what I think of as "Most Valuable." Kyrie Irving is much more valuable to the Cavs than LeBron is to the Heat (though certainly not more valuable than LeBron was to the Cavs).
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

I don't hate LBJ as such, I just despise the way he is constantly being "messiahfied" (Thanks, Finkel) by ESPN et al. If only he had a Durant-like persona, I'd probably cheer for him and cheer hard.

From what I've seen he toned down the whole pregame routine stuff (remember the "photo sessions" they had in CLE?) and seems to be carrying himself a bit more humble this time around. He's even been known to show up in the 4th in these playoffs. Oh, well. Just one man's opinion. You can't neglect the numbers LBJ is constantly putting up.

I hate his guts (though probably not as much as I used to, which leads me to... how do you even hate someone you don't know? You can't.) but I totally respect his skills on a basketball court. But, in summary, LeBron will not be a King to me as long as there are no ring(s) on his finger(s). When there is a ring on his finger, I will show him the proper respect. But watch out, LeBron, it might not be this year. You have to settle that with KG...

I used to feel that way last season, but this season I'm not as irritated by them. The only thig that makes me irritated is the over obsession the media has for them (like should LeBron have gotten the last shot or should it Wade everytime they lose) and the excuses that they make if they lose a game like they're tired and injured (like no one else is in the NBA) ,bored with the regular season or just waiting for the real competition to come.
The only other time I have an issue with them is when Wade does his dirty tricks or does something immature yet he wants to play victim or when he whines to the media about something a team did yet he was doing the same thing the year before.
