It's true. We do need Moore's speed and skill out there on the court. He would give us some much needed points.

Speed?  Moore is probably one of the least athletic 6'2" guys in the league.  And that is the problem. He is not an NBA athlete.  And while he is decently skilled, his skills are not to the level that he can overcome the fact that everyone he faces will be bigger and more athletic than him.

Or put another way Moore = Allen Ray.

The best reason to play Moore is if the Celtics win Game 7 against Philly and you stick him in there against Miami with orders to try to take out Wade with a monstrous flagrant foul.  I would whole-heartedly endorse a dirty play like that.

You have to wonder where someone would get the idea that Moore is fast.

If Doc does this it could definitely be seen by the guys on the team as "Doc's giving up and developing the young guys." If the evidence for Moore playing is "we don't know much about him and it might work out so let's take a shot" it's not taking into account the chemistry of a team.

The playoffs aren't the best time to experiment.

So keep rolling out the bricklaying combo of allen, peaches, dooling?
I'm no expert, but that's pretty much what I would do (although I'd give Sasha more time). Whenever guys are playing bad people start talking about how "anyone" would be better, even though the facts don't support it. It's a scratch ticket mentality. I think when making those decisions as a coach they can look like a stroke of genius when they work, but usually fall flat.

I'd rather gamble on something I know can work but hasn't (we've won 3 games in the series so it hasn't been a complete failure) than gamble on something I don't know if it can work and haven't tested.

Allan Ray?  That's harsh.

One thing I know is that I'd rather see Moore get these open 3 ball looks as opposed to Pietrus and Dooling and I'd rather see him at the free throw line than at least Pietrus.

Seriously I really think I'd be more confident in his shot. I don't care that it's a game 7. I'm not asking him to be a go to guy at the end of the game but end of 1st quarter beginning of second quarter I don't really see that as some death sentence for Moore especially at home and especially the way he carries himself.
