This will never happen for countless reasons
Really?

Give me a list of reasons and I'll show you a injective mapping to the natural numbers.

1. Dwight has no interest in going to Miami

2. The Heat will never break up the big 3 after only two years togther, one of which could end without one of them even able to play

3. The Heat would never trade those two players for Dwight when the best offer on the table for the Magic is Brook Lopez. Chris Bosh is much, much better and the Magic know he's the best they could get right now, without Dwyane included.

4. The salaries make no sense unless Hedo Turkoglu gets moved too, do you really think the Heat would trade Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade for Howard and Turkoglu? That's an absurd deal.

5. The Magic would not trade Dwight to an in-state rival and create the best duo in the NBA since Kobe and Shaq

6. Bosh and Wade would want no part of "rebuilding" with the Magic and would sulk until they were traded elsewhere. They'd be a solid team with those two but nowhere near the favorite to win the championship that they are with the Heat and LeBron

Do I need to continue?

Well you provided your own injective mapping, so yes you do unless you want to pull back your "countless" declaration.

I don't know what injective mapping is. I'm sure i'm the only one, but if someone would clarify...

Yes, I shockingly used countless as a hyperbole. The point is this deal is never going to happen and is pointless to discuss.

Less injective mapping, more invective rapping.

Just making a math joke  ;).

Injective mapping means that your list can be mapped one to one: ie 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. all correspond to different elements of your set.

When you can't do that then your set is uncountable (or countless), if you can you can definitely count it!

Well if its pointless to discuss then why are you discussing it in rather specific detail?

Others don't share your pointless POV clearly.

I was making a point that it's an absurd proposition and clearly listed why I think that. If you don't think it's such a ridiculous deal then feel free to make a legitimate counterargument as to how you think it could happen.

Look I was making a nerdy math joke at your absurd bit of hyperbole that's all. Then you actually provided a list with a one to one mapping to the numbers 1 through 6 and I kept it going. Clearly no one finds it funny, which is sadly the case for most math jokes  :'(.

If you scroll up you'll read that I agree with your proposition that this isn't a realistic trade rumor/idea. But I do disagree with you that its pointless to discuss, this entire section is pointless (we don't have GMs lurking to pick up tips after all) and we're all dead in the long run if you want to take that sort of view point.

An idea was floated on a national radio show, if people want to discuss it its clearly not pointless. (especially when you yourself are discussing it) Its really just a pet peeve of mine, we're all just basketball fans having a conversation. Its a buzz kill to have someone come in and loudly declare "this conversation is stupid lets end it". That can make sense in real life because you can only have one conversation, but on an internet forum you can have 50 all at once and can easily avoid the ones you don't feel like taking part in (or even avoid reading it)

I didn't initially say it was pointless to discuss, I just said it will never happen which I stand by. I understand your point of view, people can weigh the pros and cons all they want I was just saying it's clearly not going to happen.

Oh yeah I hear that, but you went there after my failed joke so that's what I was really commenting on. No worries, bad jokes can do that to conversations.
