This team quit on Brown.   He doesn't know how to use his bigs.   Bynum or Gasol.   I for one hope they keep him as I think he is a coat tail coach who is only as good as his star.  I hate the Lakers.

My issue with the "scrub" word was how I thought you attacked its word usage. For me, I certainly don't think Pau is one though, lol. Never have.

Even though I have a distinct dislike of LA, I've always respected Pau as the person and player.

I thought the exact same thing. Simply put,   "There are five guys on the court all playing a different game."

Very un-Laker like to watch.

Huge problem is still no court GENERAL , the coach has to get a point guard that will see to it his offense is run and run right.

LA is going to have to trade "ONE" of their excess of bigs for a "REAL" point guard so they can susceed.  There is no floor leadership.

The chances of Brown susceeding are very slim to me. I'm not seeing a clear picture of what he is trying to acccomplish and I don't think the team is either. That last game was a head scratcher.  

LA has lost that fluid smooth clock work execution of running offensive plays and destroying their opponent.

Gasol would thrive in a Boston , Mavs, or Spurs offense.  He would be lost at Miami or OKC.

Brown probally has till mid season next year to right the ship , otherwise he'll be standing in the unemployment line .

Pau and Ron Ron (back then) carried LA to their championship that year.

And in 08-09, it was Pau's play, at center, vs Dwight Howard that won it for LA then, as well.

Even though Drew Bynum was healthy that year, Dwight was abusing him to the point that he was either in foul trouble or just simply couldn't handle him.

Then enters Pau. The man bodied Dwight up, used his length and versatile game, and pretty much (IMO) outplayed Dwight and helped LA win it that year

Kobe needs to recognize this and stop tossing him under the bus.

Partially agreed. I think the credit for that set of titles goes something along the lines of Kobe, then Pau, then Bynum, then Artest. Even Pau over Kobe sounds reasonable.  Artest at that point had already become a role player.  A good one at that time, but still just a role player.

Not only Kobe, Lakers fans in general.  No Pau, no championships, bottom line. 

I'm kind of surprised the Lakers folded like they did, but in hindsight if I'm Pau Gasol, and I know how much I did to bring those 2 championships, and the response is to try to trade me out of town and have my golden child HOF teammate throwing me under the bus, I might have a tough time investing in the team and the franchise as well.. I know he's getting paid a lot but it is pretty cold how he got treated.
