This board's opinion of Jeff Green is hilarious to me. You can't decide whether you want to vastly overrate him or vastly underrate him.
Yes, he would have helped us, especially with Pierce and Allen playing at about 50%. At worst, he's a consistently solid but unspectacular player who likely replaces Pietrus on the roster. At best, he is an excellent running mate with Rondo and gives us the option to field a very, very dangerous lineup in transition (Rondo/Bradley/Green/X/Garnett, with either Bass or Hollins playing the 4).
No, he would not make us a title favorite. Our weak point right now is our rebounding and our offense. He doesn't address the rebounding issue, and he's never really shown the ability or aggression necessary to be a go-to-threat on offense. So while I believe that he could have helped this team, I don't really believe that he would have put us over the hump or anything. We're longshots without him, and we would have been longshots with him.
