Is painful to think where we would be with Jeff Green and Chris Wilcox. Any prognosis on when/if Green would be able to play again. I know he is not going to save the day this series or next; but is he even getting close?

Green wouldnt have done anything, he dissapeared in the playoffs last year faster then Terrell Owens at a child support hearing.

Jeff Green of last year wouldn't help the Celtics.

Imagine if we had David West and Jeff Green right now?

  • GOT IT!!!
I was intrigued to see how Green would look after a year with the team. He was thrown into the fire last year.

We'd have a lot more use for Perk.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Seriously?  Perk has been going downhill since his injury.

Hollins and Steamer's defense shows you can stick anyone in there with KG and they'll look good.

We'd have a lot more use for Perk.

In the playoffs Perk is averaging 3.8 ppg, 5.2 rpg and 1.0 bpg in 21.2 mpg.

Stiemsma/Hollins are giving us 2.7 ppg, 5.2 rpg and 1.4 bpg in 21.9 mpg.

We could use Jeff Green.
Chicago could have used Rose.
Ny could have used Lin.
Miami could use Bosh.
Orlando could have used Howard.
Clippers could have used Billups.
Memphis could have used a healthy Randolph.
Atlanta could have used Horford all series.

Injuries are getting everyone, especially in the east. Honestly we have been fortunate thus far.

TP.  It's good logic but almost everybody is experiencing the injury bug.  Luck is a vastly underrated component of a championship ball club.

This board's opinion of Jeff Green is hilarious to me.  You can't decide whether you want to vastly overrate him or vastly underrate him.

Yes, he would have helped us, especially with Pierce and Allen playing at about 50%.  At worst, he's a consistently solid but unspectacular player who likely replaces Pietrus on the roster.  At best, he is an excellent running mate with Rondo and gives us the option to field a very, very dangerous lineup in transition (Rondo/Bradley/Green/X/Garnett, with either Bass or Hollins playing the 4).

No, he would not make us a title favorite.  Our weak point right now is our rebounding and our offense.  He doesn't address the rebounding issue, and he's never really shown the ability or aggression necessary to be a go-to-threat on offense.  So while I believe that he could have helped this team, I don't really believe that he would have put us over the hump or anything.  We're longshots without him, and we would have been longshots with him.

Yea but Perk is the best Dwight Howard defender and he scowls which makes opponents scared to drive the lane...

He would be helpful right now, simply to let pierce rest more... now if pietrus can pick up his game, I'd suggest giving him a majority of minutes for a game and let the captain rest the knee
