Sadly, I think a lot of folks would be calling for Pierce's head (yet again) if we'd lost tonight.  24/10 is good, but I've got a feeling that some would be fixated on 6-for-17.

24/12/4 tonight for Pierce. I can live with the 6 for 17 shooting, he played a great game tonight and attacked the rim.

Agreed, but that's what winning does. It masks the negatives.

  • About five seconds after 17 O'clock!!
How much more body of work does PP have to have for some people to finally get the fact that on any given night you can NEVER count him out????

I think 3 or 4 of those missed shots came on offensive tips so it's not like he was really missing that many jumpers (not that he was making many either).

As long as PP is aggressive and getting to the line I can live with sub .500 shooting percentages...

I think PP likes to keep the oppoent guessing,  or thinking they have the upper hand on him. Then he rises up and cut their throats as they start to gloat.

PP and Kobe have that never say never  game that comes out of nowhere when the chips are down.  LBJ DOES NOT

Pierce looked ticked off at the foul line early in the game.  I don't know if that was because he was 2-8 at the time, or because he got cleaned at the tables the night before.

Unless of course your name is Rajon Rondo and you get a triple double and you team wins but you don't play a perfect game. :D

And only what two made jumpshots?

People defintely would be still down on him.

While he certainly didn't shot well, he played excellent defense and only turned the ball over once. That's a big turn around from the last few games and tells me he wasn't trying to do too much.

I think he should go play poker again tonight.
