  • GOT IT!!!
Would Quis had been in the game if Pietrus gave the C's anything in this series? 8 points total the C's got out of him all series.

Enough Hollins altogether.

The offense already has enough problems with teams playing off Rondo. Now them playing off Hollins and Rondo? Jeez. 3 on 5.

Hollins stats for the series:
G6: 18 min, 1-3, 2 pts, 2 rebs, -4
G5: 19 min, 2-4, 5 pts, 4 rebs, +6
G4: 12 min, 0-4, 0 pts, 4 rebs, -5
G3: 4 min, 0-0, 0 pts, 0 rebs, -1
G2: 6 min, 0-1, 0 pts, 2 rebs, +5
G1: DNP-CD
Total: 59 min, 3-12, 7 pts, 10 rebs, +1

He got burned on defense numerous times and for every good thing he does out there he does 10 bad things.

Steimsma is a much better player. Hell Sean Williams is 10 times the player too. There is little reason for him to play.

Being +1 over the course of a series for a player like Hollins is gravy for the Celts.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
I thought Hollins gave them some energy tonight. He's not in there to impress you message board posters with his box score.

Pietrus has been TRASH all series long, I have no problem with him not playing. And All the steamer does is foul.

Again, trust the guy who is the coach. He knows more than you. Period.
Gotta agree, Peaches did almost absolutely nothing. 0 fouls, 1 TO, 2 pts, 1 reb, 8 minutes.

Doc is the head coach for a reason. He would have not made those rotations unless he truely felt that they were in the best interest of the team.

While I dont agree with his rotations and yes they were questionable to say the least, he is the one paid the big bucks to make the tough decisions.

Overall, In Doc We Trust

Doc literally almost lost the game by leaving Hollins on the floor for too long and putting Marquis in to foul before the inbounds pass only to be bailed out by the ref.

Oh Doc Rivers, same guy who saved the season by convincing KG to play the 5 and inserting AB at the 2 and talking ray into come off the bench. Man what a terrible head coach, has no idea on where to play his own guys, how can I forget.

Flip you still with the team? We need a head coach, C's fans are calling for Doc's head.

No... Not one person on hear suggested Doc get fired.  Doc is a great headcoach but every once in while even a great coach can make mistakes.

I understand no one wants him fired but it isnt really fair to call out the decisions that didnt work out in Docs favor as opposed to the ones that he got right.

Who knows, in an alternate universe if Doc takes out Hollins and plays MP instead of Quis maybe ATL wins this game  ::)

Just glad we won, now bring on Philly!

I might be one of the biggest Doc supporters on this site.

Tonight, Doc coached a horrible game. His decisions were just terrible.

Doc almost cost us the game tonight. Benching KG in the 4th allowed the hawks to erase our lead, as Horford dominated when KG was out. Bradley not playing much in the 2nd half while Ray threw up brick from everywhere including the FT line, and Daniels covering Horford on the last play all killed us. Thank goodness for KG playing out of this world defensively and carrying us on offense, or else we would have been run off on our own floor like the Magic series the year KG was out.

KG asked out of the game. KG and Doc admitted as such in the pressers.

Also revealed in the pressers is that the players on the court mixed things up because KG should have been guarding Horford and Daniels covering the inbounds play.

Doc said that but I am not sure I believe that as Daniels was covering Horford on the first inbounds play.

I'm sure he did. It was Doc's fault for not subbing him out much earlier. He could have then let him play the stretch run in the 4th.

This.

5 minutes left in the 4th quarter with our lead shrinking? KG needs to get back out on the court.

I agree. Unfortunately KG was the only front court player that showed up offensively in this series.

How much of a difference would it have made? We'd still have had KG out of the game while Horford was playing.

Excellent point Horford played what? 47 minutes.

Doc admits now that he should have played AB at the 2 last year and says he wishes now that he'd moved KG for at least last year as well.  That is, he himself says he was more than a year late in making both of those moves.

And did he really have to talk Ray into coming off the bench?  Was Ray going to go on a hunger strike or something unless he approved Doc's move?

Was at the game. Agree it was not Doc's strongest. However IIRC KG was at the scorer's table for a solid minute anyway wating to check in in the 4th quarter. One of my sons asked "where's KG?" I said "right there waiting for a dead ball."
