Doc likes to talk defense and watch as his team displays it in horrific fashion. I still don't get Ryan Hollins over Greg Stiemsma and Sean Williams. Are both better shot blockers/rebouders hurt?

When KG and Pierce each play 40-plus minutes, it's hard to expect them to have enough in the tank to take over the game down the stretch.  Being on the court for 85% of the time, at their age, just leads them to pace themselves, while the younger Philly guys never let up.

  • You say when......
As or rotations...don't just focus on last night...there was the injured pp for those 2 games...who NEVER sat out.....why....at least try sasha and peitrus, both have given us plenty of good minutes...small ball...= getting outrebounded, it can work, but when it don't.....he is a VERY limited coach.......with a team that could take the EAST anyway...we should be 4-1 and done with this series...now they think they can beat us......

We got nothing from our bench, so Doc had to ride out the starters.

After Bradley lost his shoulder, I couldn't believe
I was seeing him right back in there and playing
down the stretch. Wake up Doc, you're gonna blow
the guy out. No way should Bradley have been in there
down the stretch. He's just a kid.

Doc is the head coach for a reason. He would have not made those rotations unless he truely felt that they were in the best interest of the team.

While I dont agree with his rotations and yes they were questionable to say the least, he is the one paid the big bucks to make the tough decisions.

Overall, In Doc We Trust

I think Doc is a top 2 coach in the league with Popovich.  Still doesn't mean we cannot criticize moves he makes.

A moron could coach a team with this talent. Generally a team doesn't even need a coach till the last 5 minutes of a game.

Enough Hollins altogether.

The offense already has enough problems with teams playing off Rondo. Now them playing off Hollins and Rondo? Jeez. 3 on 5.

Hollins stats for the series:
G6: 18 min, 1-3, 2 pts, 2 rebs, -4
G5: 19 min, 2-4, 5 pts, 4 rebs, +6
G4: 12 min, 0-4, 0 pts, 4 rebs, -5
G3: 4 min, 0-0, 0 pts, 0 rebs, -1
G2: 6 min, 0-1, 0 pts, 2 rebs, +5
G1: DNP-CD
Total: 59 min, 3-12, 7 pts, 10 rebs, +1

He got burned on defense numerous times and for every good thing he does out there he does 10 bad things.

Steimsma is a much better player. Hell Sean Williams is 10 times the player too. There is little reason for him to play.

HEY ATLEAST HE HAS a +1 unlike some1 that has a fricken -27 with our team [*cough* Ray Allen *cough*]
Jameer an elite PG?Please, ask that to his garbage highlights.

PAUL PIERCE, NO!

"Riding out the starters" is Doc's usual preference.

The bench wasn't playing well.  He should have given them less minutes.  The starters were huffing and puffing.  He should have given them more rest.

Next time, Doc, just go four on five for a few stretches of the game.
