Im talking about the foul complaints he had. Did he lay off just enough to not get fined?

I think he should be fined for this.  How many times have we seen Mark Cuban fined for complaining about the officiating?  Too many to remember.  Let's go Stern....this is about the only thing you are good for.

I agree with this.  KG is dirty, but dirty in a "push the rules and try not to get caught" sort of way.  Throwing sneaky elbows when jostling for position, setting hard screens, etc.  He plays physical, and generally, he's not out there looking to injure anybody.

I don't even see how playing as physical as he does can be considered dirty when it's the tradition of the league.  It's how they wanted it to be when they started it and it's how it remained for a solid 30-40 years.  Of course there were always guys who took a more "finesse" approach to the game, they just so happen to be the majority now (stemming from the influx of Europeans and rule changes to favor offense over physical defenders).  Has the NBA really become so soft and weak that you guys want KG to think about how fans will perceive him before playing the game the way he was taught it should be?

If you ask me the league has gotten too clean and it makes the few guys that push the line LOOK dirty.  If you don't mind this warped perception and want to apply labels there are at least 20 guys that fit the definition of the word incomparably better.

In a way, yes, he may sound right. Garnett sets some picks that I don't even understand how he gets without getting whistled. He has been a superstar in this league too long not to get a favor or two.
Ron Artest is hardly dirty for me. Dirty players should be allowed to play in the league in whatever way they can, provided they're not threatening any other player's health with intention. Reggie Evans is one of them. He plays tough defense. He fouls hard. But he isn't Artest. Artest should have received a much more prolonged ban after what he did to James Harden, but they let him off the hook blatantly.


All in all, yes, Garnett is a dirty player. He is always wandering around the limits and trash-talks a lot.
With that said, in general, NBA players are hardly saints, so, it's not as if Garnett is the only player in league with same dirty play skills. There are lots of players out there with the same attitude.
And I do think things get intensified on and off the court with their presence, so, no problem for me.
But the sole reason this is stated is to get favored in a couple of calls against Garnett for the remainder of the series. I don't think he will be fined, as he's free to address his opinions about a player, without going over the borders, of course.

The only thing that annoys me is that he is using the same brain-dead foul counting analysis that Tommy Heinson uses when a there is an unequal number of fouls called. I feel such people should not be taken seriously since they are so overwhelmingly driven by wishful thinking.

nobody said he should be fined for talking about kg.

We are talking about getting fined for complaining about foul calls.

I just want consistency.

Naw don't fine the Owner , its a free country , he can spout his opinion. (going public) He is just trying to get Sterns and his refs help in game ot them to watch Garnett .   He is just jockeying for  an edge in the upcomming game.

It might backfire on him though.  It's a bad idea to trash talk KG , at least until he retires, or else he might take his anger out on your team !

It might be ...that the HAWKS players don't appreciate or want to hear their owner commenting. Don't give the Celtics something to use as energy and  pay the price on the court.
