Fair or unfair, Rose is longer the same player he was, until he can step back on the court and show he can still do the same things he did before his stock drops.
But that doesn't mean he can't become even better overall player in the long run , using other means ...
I expect him to make a nice recovery as he is young and return to a superstar status, but its not an easy road. . Most guys I see loose that extra 1% edge that seperates then as the superior player the great players. Forcing their will any time they want after ACL is tuff. Usually other skills are developed to adjust.
Chris Paul can still dominate , but he was far more dominate as leader and team player to me than Rose before his injury. Rose is more of a small Mello . Using his speed and quickness to defeat all opponents and take over games. His immediate capacity to do the incredible aerobatic /gymnastic feats may be less impressive or often. Other skills will be developed. or honed.
I look for him to come back as a top five guard, but in more Rondo /Paul fashion or Jason Kidd.
