That's like saying you need to make special accommodations for a crack head, because crapping all over yourself is a "disability".

As a person who has struggled like....a lot with weight loss, what you're saying is insulting on a lot of levels, although I imagine they come from a place of ignorance, not malice.

And I'm not making excuses for a woman who is at worst hypothetical, and at best a brief acquaintance, but like I said earlier, I'm 6'4, 300 lbs, and that's with 2x daily cardio plus a every other day weightlifting regimine. Without my cardio + weights that 300 number gets closer to 350 or 400. At the gym alone, I'm burning 1500 or so calories a day.

What I'm getting at is that your math, while sometimes true, is not always true. I'm not some victim, you should see me play rugby. But my weight is a constant challenge, and for a lot of people I imagine thats true too. Im just saying, don't assume everyone is like you.

You realize that muscle weighs more than fat?  Now these biggest losers the name suits them but I know some muscle bound 300 lbers.

I'm not sure what prompted this post, but I think he knows that not all people are built the same way. The problem is the people who are killing themselves with their overeating and lack of activity. These people need to lose weight or risk major consequences.

There's a link to a story in the OP that prompted it. Here's a different story but on the same subject. This story is relavent to those that travel frequently or those individuals who may be affected on both sides of the scale.

Hmmm...how much are you taking in?

I agree with her saying they should post the rule so they know what it is, and it may be good if it were standardized.

I'm not sure that's my issue with her. My issue is more that I hope our tax dollars don't get spent to speed an ambulance to her if she gets a heart attack that is easily preventable, and then a hospital takes our money to treat her. I'd say she's assuming the risk of her behavior. Same thing with people that drive motorcycles 100mph in the rain.  I don't think a person can get the way she is without a lot of very bad decisions and she has to be responsible for the consequences.

Well, regarding the woman in question, she's apparently gone from over 400 pounds to somewhere south of 240.  Kudos to her for that.
