Their defensive ratings and statistics are similar to OKC/LAL, why do you see such a difference Who?
Interior defense

DeJuan Blair and Matt Bonner are two of the weakest defensive PFs playing regular minutes in the league. Tim Duncan is a good but unexceptional defender. Splitter a solid but unexceptional defender. Lack of foot-speed. Lack of rim-protection. PnR defense is vulnerable. Defensive rotations aren't quick enough.

Boris Diaw is their best defensive PF but he looks only about average this year due to all that excess weight he's carrying. He's their best hope for tightening up that defense some.

In contrast, the Thunder have Ibaka (high level defender) + Perk + Collison while the Lakers have Bynum (best overall defender) + Pau (comparable to Duncan defensively). Both teams have far more defensive talent than the Spurs.

The Spurs perimeter defense is well above average though. Danny Green and Kawhi Leonard. Ginobili. Parker. Stephen Jackson. A lot of good weapons.

I think they'll end up losing in the second round.

I would absolutely love a Spurs/Celts match up though.

Doc/Pop

KG/Duncan
Rondo/Parker
Ray/Manu
Pierce/Jackson

Some fun and great match ups of guys who have been going at each other for years

Nope.. Miami is looking Scary!!!

From the west maybe Spurs will come out tops but in the east, it's going to be tough for any team to beat the heat four times.

Nope no way.  I don't see San Antonio being able to beat Miami, OKC, Memphis, or the Lakers.

I love what im seeing... just continues to set the stage for my dream celtics/spurs finals

That would be a great series.

It'll be a horrible series for a casual fan though
But I would love to see a KG vs Duncan matchup

The casual fans can watch something else then. For fans of good team basketball that would be great series to witness.

Yup, I totally agree
Casual fans like the flashy, dunking on every play, type of basketball. AKA the Heat
