being in love with someone who you really don't want anything to do with, but you cant fight the feelings.

Now, that is not a poke at the Celtics, I consider myself a rare DIE HARD.

What I mean by that statement, is the NBA is turning into such a joke. The WWE. The officials are horrible, they hold the game in the palm of there hand. Its turning into soccer. Basketball is one of my favorite sports, but the way the NBA is now a days I really wish I was not such a big Celtics fan so I did not have to watch the NBA slowly turn into the worst professional sports league

I really couldn't have said it any better. This is exactly how I feel. I wish I had no emotions regarding this team but they're my team. Always been my team 'of destiny' but I can't handle the truth, that this team is done. Every 'live' game I've watched of this team has broken my heart and I can't take it anymore. I can't watch ANY TEAM play like this, no effort, no heart, no mind, no skills. I love you C's but I really gotta go. I'll miss you. good luck.

A lot of the Boston Sports Fan Group of my city does not follow the Celtics because they feel the NBA is corrupt and therefore not a sport. Of course the city is still smarting over the relocation of the franchise to an Oil Patch.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

I couldn't agree more, except it's not turning into soccer.  Soccer players are above NBA players at this point.  It's not even just the product which the NBA gives us.  Majority of the players in the league are scumbags.  I love the Celtics, I don't agree with how they play at all, but I support them regardless.  The product which the NBA gives us though, is just too boring to watch.

Anti officiating thread. How rare.

Suck it up.

We played god awful. Pierce was an embarrassment. We lost. Shocker? NO. Accept it.

Im not a sore loser man, I was at game 7 vs. Magic, game 7 vs. LA.....ive seen the celtics lose much worse games.

But why do you think there is so much talk about the referees in the NBA? There horrible, and the league is changing. It's rediculous. Watching the game was a joke.........there was a bad call every other possesion......just happens that majority were agsint the Celtics.

For example, the questionable jump ball with 2 seconds left in the shotclock, that is not a call you make. The Garnett foul with about 3 minutes left, there was barely any contact and it was at the 3 pt line away from the ball, the phantom kick ball after a wonderful play, the stiemsma goaltend, the out of the bounds call that clearly went off josh smith was a vital call.

I gamble, and its hard for me to not believe there is fishy stuff going on in the NBA. Some of the calls are so bad, and the officials are not even on the same page. And Stern does not even care.

It's not just the Celtics game. Watch a Heat, or Lakers game and tell me the refs call a FAIR game.

And I am saying I wish that I wasnt so attatched to the Celtics so I dont have to contribute to the viewing and supporting of this league.

Sure, officials in the MLB, NFL, NHL, etc....all make bad calls here and there......thats part of the game. But you have to try to be as bad as some of the NBA officials.

I have season tix, and when your at the game sometimes you can hear were the whistle is coming from.
The best is when the official who is staring at the play does not call anything, but then a whistle flies out of the left field.

Even the most "by the book" person cannot argue how poorly officiated the NBA is, and how it is impacting the league.
There lucky they have loyal homers, and a lot of starpower.

Well they made it... get over it.

You make examples of bad calls against us. But what about the Josh Smith "goaltend" that wasnt a goaltend... Or when Green made the bucket on the Stiemsma "charge" and his foot was in the restricted area. The refs made some interesting calls last night, but it was interesting on both sides.

Refs didn't lose us this game, I'll agree with that.  The play before Rondo got ejected, it was a foul on Bass.  He basically tackled Josh Smith.  He came in from behind, wrapped him up and fell on top of him.  Anybody who is arguing that that wasn't a foul because of when it happened during the game is out of their mind.  For me though, I just think the NBA's product is just getting boring.  Last night's game, 83-74, that's the score of a college game.  Look at a game log for the 1986 Celtics, the lowest amount of points they scored all year was 88.  They pushed the tempo of the game and they still played defense.  Right now, the league is so focused on defense they are okay with being mediocre offensively, it's boring basketball.
