Not excusing it at all. It was very bad timing for Rondo to have a temper tantrum. All I'm saying is the NBA needs to take everything into consideration before making a decision. This was after a playoff game, not a regular season game...the stakes are much higher

If they suspend him for more than one game, they are blatantly swaying the series in the Hawks favor. I mean what Rondo did was stupid but come on.

I don't know if him being suspended for his earlier refereeing indiscretions is a good thing or bad thing-probably the latter.

I can see him missing game 2 and if he doesn't miss game two we better thank our lucky stars and hope Pierce gets out of his coma.

I think that would be ridiculous. 

The only reason I could see it happening is out of concern that Rondo hasn't learned his lesson with the ball-throwing suspension and needs an escalating penalty in this case.

ya, we need pierce to contribute to all facets of the game though...scoring, rebounding, assists to do it.

we've seen it before.

but hopefully Rondo just gets a hefty fine..I understand what he did was boneheaded..but stern has to look at it like the celts are down 0-1 in the playoffs. can you risk swaying a series too much in another teams way?

Rondo has not learned. I think that's why we have this topic. I love the kid but it's like when my own kid does something stupid. .....
