Sad news about Derick Rose and torn ACL.    Lucky break for Celtics and ECF matchup vs. Miami looks more likely.   Too bad we don't get to see Rondo vs. Rose part 2 because last series was an all time great.  Still, Chicago will still make it interesting and like the Cs in 2009 without KG could still win.

We need to get four wins against Atlanta first.

Now, completely off topic: -12 TPs? Huh?

That was a while ago that I saw that  ;D

we need to take care of atlanta. and the bulls will not be a tough out without rose

one series at a time

and i am a bit concerned we may NEVER see Ray Allen play for the Cs again. We need his shooting  off the bench

The Bulls without rose cannot beat this team 4 out of 7 times in a series. We have the best 3 players in the entire series (Rondo, Pierce, KG), it would be a travesty if we didnt make it past them.

Bulls without rose may be able to win in the regular season, but in the playoffs, we will expose them. That means their backcourt is Watson and Hamilton vs Rondo and Bradley?

The only way they stay in this series is if they crash the boards consatntly which they will, but I have faith that the C's will pull it out.

Arghh!!! This is starting to get frustrating!!!

Call me crazy, but I would so much prefer not to have these threads about how we match up with the Bulls keep popping up while we are on the eve of a first round series with the Hawks.  I find it arrogant and disrespectful, to be frank.

I like our matchup with the Hawks, too, but I'm not interested in looking past them.  They have home court advantage, and I think they'll be hungry.

Go Celtics!

If we win it this season it may be one of the greatest accomplishments in the history of basketball. Imagine the beginning of the story:
-The written off, dinosaur old, injury depleted Celtics were on the verge of the biggest overhaul in the last 5 years in the middle of the season by almost losing their legendary captain, first time finishing any stretch of games below 0.500 in the big three era, fighting through rejuvenated Atlanta Hawks, overpowered Chicago Bulls and the most talented and athletic (compared to the rest of the league) Miami Heat team to beat the seemingly unstoppable Oklahoma City Thunder in an epic final 7 game series!

I don't believe in jinxing it. I like Thibs, and it feels so wrong to enjoy Bulls' pain of losing Rose...

All Pablo said was that the road to the ECF got easier.

Which is 100% did. He never said we were guaranteed to make it there. He just said the path to it got easier.

Calm down.

Bulls role players aren't going to beat the CEltics in the playoffs. Bring on Miami Heat! Celtics have a score to settle with them.

Hell, the Bulls could end up losing to Philly giving us Home Court the next round!  :D

Gotta agree (TP) ... I don't want to even think about the second-round until we earn it ... Atlanta has always given us a hard time in the playoffs, and nothing in this league, nothing, should be taken for granted.

I don't know.  As a fan, I think it's ok for us to speculate.  We are just fans.  It's Doc's job to keep the players focused.  We have our own lives to worry about.  Besides, speculating is part of the fun of being a fan.
We all think we know more than we really do....

It's absolutely OK to speculate, just my personal preference that I'd rather not cross that bridge until we come to it, (when and if we do).

Just wanted to state my opinion on it.  I guess I'll just have to ignore these "looking past" threads from now on.
