Reach for BB with Tavon Wilson. He didn't go to the combines but was sought out for a lot of interviews and had some interest. Still most draftnics had him as a 5th rounder or lower. Kiper pretty much hated the pick, you could see that on ESPN.

Probably a good sign for the Pats that Kiper hates the pick.
agreed... he has totally lost it and it pains me to say it

I kinda want an OT, but maybe free agency is the way to do that

eja, you must have loved the Russell Wilson pick huh? He's like the short version of Tim Tebow.

I actually do like the Russell Wilson pick. If he doesn't work out at QB he's still an awesome athlete. He has succeeded at both the ACC and Big Ten with big linemen in front of him (Gruden's point). Faced adversity. They drafted him late in the deal. I couldn't care less he's a shade under 6 feet. It's football, not basketball. The two inches is nothing compared to the ability to be accurate or read a defense.  And in case he can't do either of those he can still take off. Works for Tebow.

Ryan Tannenhil just said the Dolphins have no expectations and he's just there to compete. I didn't realize he had a wonderlic score of negative 9.

I beat Tedy Bruschi to the analysis by about 8 seconds.  "If they told you no expectations they lied. You're the 8th pick in the draft"

Pats trade the pick 5th rounder from the Packers back to the Packers for a 6th and 2 7ths

so that's 163 for 197, 224, and 235, which is genius.  Why take one cruddy OT when you can take 2 and get a cruddy something else (DB?) too. Put em on the practice squad if you need to

I find it a little hilarious that the Pat's 6th rounder was so off the radar he doesn't register on the draft tracker. I would think an Ohio State DB would

so if I understand correctly he turned a 2 into a 3,6, and 2 7s.   I think if I were a GM I'd have everyone under strict orders not to answer the phone if it's from Bill and never call him.
It's like they don't even study the draft
You could have Ron Brace in the 2nd or get like Ellis Hobbs, Mryon Pryor, Brandon Deadrick, and Julien Edelmen
derrrrr
not that it happens that way, but still

Yeah, seems like he managed it via "picks to be named the next day" too!

It was a bar fight out on the street and he stupidly got into the middle of it, he didn't have a ton of red flags in school that got any publicity.

Didn't he get ejected from the Capital One Bowl for fighting?

Going just off of what I have seen from him on the field at Nebraska, I think the kid is a steal for the seventh round but the last thing I remember about him was getting kicked out of a game for fighting against South Carolina. So if he punched a cop too, maybe he has some issues.

But the kid is a [dang] good cover corner with some pop run he tackles.
