He didn't take that many shots last night, but there were a couple that he took that seemed a little questionable; some ugly shots, and some shots that just weren't really smart.  Hoping that's just a matter of getting some comfort.

I'd be shocked if he plays a minute in the playoffs.  Doc will stick to the guys he trusts, the guys who know the rotations, whose teammates trust them; he'll go small before throwing someone brand-new into the mix at this stage.  Williams is here because he's young, athletic, and talented, and they want to see if he's worth trying to develop as a project for next year.  See how he fits in with the team, see how receptive he is to coaching.  He's on an extended tryout for '12-'13.

There's one other difference between Hollins and Williams. Hollins was signed because of glowing recommendations from both Garnett and Pierce. Williams was the extra piece chosen by Ainge and his team.

I'm curious, if the players are better or worse at picking their potential teammates. The minutes are too few to make conclusions out of. I'd like to see how this plays out. We've got one more game in the regular season and Doc has his list. That's what I would watch for - who goes in first.

They praised him for his mindset. They see that Hollins wants to play. They see that he hustles. There's no question in that.

But he just doesn't have anything else to offer or will get much beyond this considering he's already 28 or something. He just doesn't seem to 'get it' much. But as a 3rd/4th string center, he brings pure energy and hustle to the floor and that's good enough. He can be a Brian Cardinal sort of guy, which is invaluable in its own right. KG and Pierce were right in praising him because the guy really does try hard on the floor and you want that in a teammate.

As for Sean Williams, he seems happy with himself after the game. Again, I hope he pans out...

When did he get his haircut?

He does look really nice. That goatee was hiding a cool, clean-cut face.

I expect Hollins to get minutes in the playoffs before Williams, but I still think it was a good signing.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

This. And i hope he plays for our summer league team. If he ever gets on the same page as Rondo look out!

My view on Hollins and Williams.  Yes they are not KG or even Steamer or Perk ...bttttttt, and thats a big ol but...

they are all 7 foot tall and both can jump and run the court and block a shot.

What they mean for this team is filling the lane with 7 ft tall dudes that can aggravate or disrupt and foul guys like BOSH, DENG, Gasol, Bynum , and Ducan. No they can't stop them from scoring , nor can they score much themselves . But, they can wear/lean on them. They can make scoring alot harder  to go inside the paint and between them they have 12 fouls to use up. Hopefully enough hacks and blocks to give our starters a chance to win the game .

What Doc and Danny and the team  have done is bought inexpensive shot blockers ( offensive guys cost alot)  Steamer, Williams and Hollins , while they can't score , they can lower the opponents ability to get the super easy dunks and their youth run back on defense .  Doc wants to kill em with height, youth and defense.

Kg can't play 40 minutes every night and protect the paint. These three fouling machines , are there to protect the paint , block shots and disrupt drive to the bucket with their lenghts and blocking ability.

I good cheap plan of attack...just hope they can get em trained enough to make a diff.  ,...Steamer already has....

The elevation and length Williams got on that monster Juwon Howard black last night was jaw dropping. I hope he can plan out to be a solid player.

Williams, Hollins and Johnson need to have a weight room - muscle bulk up competition. They all need to be strong enough to hold their ground in the post on defense if they want playing time.

Can't tell who's gonna get time in the playoffs from tonight... Hope its Sean Williams. Hollins may have had a big night but Williams's production seems more sustainable.

Solid rebounding (which we desperately need), decent defense and a running mate for Rondo is Williams.
