Disgusting.

I hope he's suspended for the rest of the year. Completely uncalled for.

If I wasn't on CB I'd be using other words right now.

That should be a minimum five game suspension.

With Artest's past, a ten game suspension wouldn't be unreasonable.

If he is not suspended for at least 10 games maybe more based on his past history the league had done a terrible job.

And then the ignorant Lakers fans boo the ejection and give him an ovation.

To be fair they haven't  shown the replay of the elbow to the fans

"World Peace" ... what an ironically inappropriate name for a jerk like Artest, too bad he'll never earn it.

And the applause kind of sums up what Faker fans are all about. :P

Love James Harden ... hope he's OK.

And have his name taken away.

But seriously, an elbow like that should be at least first round suspension, the Celtic in me says for longer. But what a disgrace.

Then Mike Brown shakes his hand afterwords? Any respectable coach would have chewed out his player for some thing like that.

Then the crowd Boos after the replay? Shows you how much Laker fans actually know anything about the game.

The biggest concern was the hand shake. Could they be taking a  little cue from the NFL???

I thought it was weird how out of his way mike breen went to stress that repeatedly.

  • You say when......
Just watching the lakers vs OKLA....artest dunks, goes into a chest beating rage, then walks into James hardin, who is stnding almost still, looking to get the inbounded ball, artest does a reach in, wind up ELBOW to his head..in the back of his head.....hardin is down, srtest says it wasn't anything...

The annoncers say, ohhh, and he is such a changed man.....too bad....Well, I have been watching artest since the lakers signed that hatchet man, he did the same to rondo = 12-17 stitches on a follow thru-to the face, knee Ray Allen with a RUNNIG knee to the thigh, well placed i might add...professional really...i mean, who could do that, it is tough to hit a guy there, and what about your knee....not artest...

And sooo many more times he has done this, and the league just looks the other way...with cameras, replay.....he has more given injuries that more khockey players....This guy should be kicked out of the league asap...!

Orrr maybe those wonderful unbiased refs just don't call anything when the players deal with it themselves

My  view is that they should just shut Artest  down for the rest of the season. Even if the lakers go deep, Artest should not play again until next season. This was worse than his fight vs pistons at the palace. This action was cowardly and unprovoked.

This is the guy who started in the first minute of the NBA Finals by assaulting Paul Pierce under the basket, "setting the tone" for the Lakers in that series.

Artest is a certifiable lunatic and if Stern doesn't suspend him for at least 10 games, I'll be stunned.  In my view, Arest's intent was to injure a key member of one of their stiffest rivals.  This kind of person doesn't belong in the NBA.
