NO! We need RAY too!!! Why does "everyone" say this? Isn't it better to have Ray AND everyone else??? We will need his points in the playoffs, he is dead eye when he is on!!!!!!! I like Ray off the bench but doesn't mean we don't need him! Stop asking this!!!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Interesting numbers for sure.  I don't think we are necessarily any better with Ray starting over Bradley but Ray adds valuable depth.  I think Ray will start when he is ready but I suspect we will not see any more 40 minute games out of him.  Shorten his minutes, let him become more of a specialist and he will be very valuable.

This is silly.  Ray is arguably the greatest shooter in NBA history.  On a team that struggles to find bench scoring, Ray is about as good of an option as anyone in the league.

TP. 100% agree. Just because Bradley has played well and is a better defender than Ray does not mean that Ray is not an overall better player and won't make some huge clutch plays for us in the playoffs like he always has. He has proven it on the big stage. Bradley has yet to do so.

Better with Bradley starting and on this team right now Bradley is the more valuable player given how Ray has declined outside of his shooting.

But definitely better with Ray coming off the bench and in some closing situations than not playing at all.

Ray is playing hurt, and this  effects his being able to get a good look and shot off.  We are better off with Ray comming off the bench if he is hurt or can't get better no doubt

I think now AB has a better game all around and really has to start until Ray can show he is fit as fiddle .  Until Ray is 100% , and we can count on his shooting touch, we are better with what AB gives us most night.

Ray gets his heath back..I'm not opposed to giving him the startinf job back...Ray can shoot light out and go for 30 points when he's 100%

Nah, Bradley just gave us a nice surprise punch we needed like Lin did for the Knicks.  Certainly doesn't mean NY is better without Melo

That record isn't something about Ray. We just did nothing enough to win the games and that time period overlapped with Ray's starts.
Plug AB in with the same KG and PP, who were looking out-of-sorts, and Rondo, who was much more erratic and you have a pre-all star break Celtics team again.

No way are the Boston Celtics better without Ray. Don't kid yourselves. Ray's laundry list of consistency in big games against top opponents is nothing to just overlook.

What's more, What Avery did in that last game is something that Ray does all the time, and we can't ignore how important it is that Ray makes players from other team constantly chase him around, and you regularly see people who don't have the responsibility of guarding Ray having to pick him up and pay attention to him on just about every single time Ray goes running for a spot.

You can't replace that. There are many times when these Celtics are in desperate need of a big shot, and Ray goes out there and hits it for them. There are times when we could be down by much worse, and Ray keeps us in the game. When Ray's shots fall early, we are usually in blowout territory.

The Celtics are 25-14 when Sasha Pavlovic plays and 10-11 when he has a DNP.  They are 12-3 when Pavlovic plays 10+ minutes off the bench.  The Celtics are undefeated when Keyon Dooling starts.

Lets not start Dooling then, eh?!

Avery Bradley is not better that Ray Allen.  2K12 player rankings tell me so.
Stay classy, San Diego. Hello, Baxter? Baxter, is that you? Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee. Is this Wilt Chamberlain? Have the decency to say something.

Avery Bradley is better then Ray at all the things Ray sucks at.

Finishing at the rim.
Running with Rondo
Penetrating
Ball Handling
Athleticsm.

And now Bradley is shooting the 2 and the 3 with confidence, hes at around 40% on his 3 pointer now, thats huge.

Basically Ray is better at Bradley at shooting, running around screens, and clutch shots and defending "bigger" SG's.

Other then that the difference is moot.
