Better Player in 5 years: Marshon Brooks or Avery Bradley?

Bradley at two years younger is shooting a .054 higher FG% (.485 to .431), a .015 lower 3PT% (.300 to .315) and a .057 higher FT% (.803 to .746).  I think it is fair to believe his 3PT% is dragged down by the extreme nervousness he showed at the beginning of the year.

So I'm not ready to give Brooks an advantage in shooting at all.

After yesterday, Bradley is shooting .353% on 3s now

Was watching the game tonight and started to ponder this...Bradley is a lock down defender and is great at cutting to the basket, while Brooks is a phenomenal scorer.

I'd have to go with Bradley...His defense is all ready at an allstar level, and his offense seems to be really picking up.

  12.5 points a game isn't really phenomenal scoring.

Evidence on that speed factor?
Actually many PGs would be jockeying for position in such a competition. Westbrook, Rose, Wall, Parker, Conley, Lawson are just to name a few. I'm sure I'm missing out on some other fast player as well.

would be better than Brooks too.  I like Brooks but it Triple J was on a lesser team, we all would be talking about him.  Props to the OP for the thread.

I think Avery is a better defender than Billups and he might end up being a better shooter too.  Chauncy was a bit of a chucker.

Chauncey's combination of elite 3-point shooting and foul-drawing ability made him a very efficient scorer.  We'll be very fortunate if Bradley can become close to Billups as a shooter.

Chauncey was clutch. That alone makes it an intriguing target for Bradley.

He's fast, young, strong enough and putting up some good numbers.  He's very likely to be a top 5 PG for a number of years.  I understand why he's paired with AB from an age perspective.  And I think he's still ahead of Bradley in terms of expectations by a good bit.  

But he's shown zero range out to the 3 so far and of the new new generation PGs, I go with Kyrie Irving.  I see him as headier and more of a leader.  Both will likely stay ahead of Bradley through their careers and it's unclear how much PG Bradley will ultimately end up playing.

A lot of people are hating on Brooks.
Just remember his team completely sucks. A lot of this learning is going to be in game. He's a starting rookie on a terrible team that hasn't had any time to practice.
I'd say he has plenty of untapped potential. It's too bad he's not 2-3 inches taller because he reminds me of Tracy McGrady playing for the Raptors in his early years.

Tough call this one. Just like we are calling Bradley a steal in the draft, we could be having the same conversation about Brooks soon too.

I'll remain undecided for now.
