Was watching the game tonight and started to ponder this...Bradley is a lock down defender and is great at cutting to the basket, while Brooks is a phenomenal scorer.

I'd have to go with Bradley...His defense is all ready at an allstar level, and his offense seems to be really picking up.

Bradley, especially if he gets a good number of his minutes at PG so his size/rebounding don't hurt the team too much.

Brooks could be very good himself though, hard to tell what his ceiling will be.

Bradley easily, Brooks is another nick young type

Bradley has all-star potential and definitely will be all defensive team  :D

Too early to tell, Bradley right now is better though.

Brooks has the height and offensive talent over Bradley and can become better, but he has to commit to defense first, so far he hasnt.

Bradley is much quicker and much more athletic than Brooks, but doesent quite have the offensive talent of Brooks, at least we havent been able to see it yet since Doc has the reigns tight on him and wont give him the green light to play me-ball like Marshon plays.

For tonight...

Bradley 18 points 7/14 FG 3/4 3ptFG
Brooks  13 points 6/17 FG 1/3 3ptFG

I'd go with Bradley too. His scoring is underrated, by a lot.
I moved the cheese.

Just look at what Bradley is doing as our 5th option on offense.

Bradley would EASILY be a 20 ppg scorer on any team that made him a primary option.

True. However, he wouldn't be left wide open to hit jump shots as the primary scoring option.
I'd still take defense over offense, though.

Avery plays elite defense, score the basket, and can also run a team. Brooks is nothing to marvel at. So please don't compare the two.

Not yet.

He's still good though.

Compared to Rajon Rondo standard, then no. Avery ran the second unit tonight without any hiccups. And he rescued third stringers at the end there.

Let's not forget that over the next several years Bradley will probably be surrounded by excellent coaching, a near perfect compliment of a back court mate that happens to be a 3-time All-Star and 3-time All-Defense player, several high quality, Hall of Fame caliber team mates, and Brooks won't.

I would expect Brooks not to look as good or develop as complete a game as Bradley for these reasons.

He did what? Good on him. The SG is becoming more redundant by the moment. A pure scoring 6'5 shooting guard isn't much if you can't do much else. Undersized shooting guards are more popular now it seems so it's conceivable that Bradley can be our future SG.

Given the minutes I'd say Bradley is the better player right now. It's harder to find a Bradley. But it will be very interesting to see what happens to these guys over the summer

Keep in mind that Brooks is 2 year older than Bradley.

Avery Bradley hands down. He already has a great defense. Some people here already arguing he should be considered all-defense team

his offense is definitely improving as well and not to mention Marshon Brooks is playing for a crappy team. Yeh he is a good offense player but I don't see him doing well on a contending team. Bradley as the above has already said, is our 5th option averaging 14 ppg since he started and could easily be a 20 ppg on some other team as a first or 2nd option.

You can also see him working hard on those jumpers, hes starting to shoot the 3s and mid range with more confidence now which is always a pro.
