  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Please don't chew me out for mentioning the idea of trading Mr.Bradley, but I am curious of what his trade value is currently.

Maybe a top 5-10 pick?

I'm thinking maybe as much as Paul Millsap?

Or do you guys think he's near-all star caliber/potential (in worth)?
I like Marcus Smart

I think he's worth a pick in the 10-14 range in this draft.

I also think Millsap is more valuable. Quality role players bigs are rarer than quality smalls.

I would rather place Bradley somewhere in the Chalmers to Tony Allen range. He/they are (or can be) a solid starter on the right team.

I don't think Jazz will trade Millsap. They have Kanter and Favors to play 5, and Big Al may get traded away for a scorer if they fancy a move. Millsap is their true PF, so, baring extraordinary circumstances, he will stay put.
As for the draft, he may return a late lottery pick, I'd say.

Avery's value is more significant to contenders than it is to lottery teams. He's a complementary piece which takes away from his trade value a bit.

On draft day last year, the Spurs traded George Hill to the Pacers last year for the draft rights to Kawhi Leonard (15th), Davis Bertans (42nd), and Erazem Lorbek (46th in 2005).  I would guess that Bradley's trade value is probably less than that.  Maybe something like a 16th-18th pick, given that this draft is supposed to be deeper than last year's.

I would also guess that Bradley's actual value to the Celtics is worth more than his trade value.

His trade value would be a 10-15 pick this year I think. Not worth trading away a 21 year old super athletic guard. Especially one with elite defensive abilities. He has the tools to be an all star in a few years once he's more skilled offensively.

So in my opinion as a team about to start rebuilding it would be stupid to trade him away for a mid to late lottery pick. Mostly because you already know he's not a bust AND he has the potential to get much much better.

I dont think his trade value is higher than his value to our team is... I cant see Bradley netting a big return at all... Yet, he can be a very valueable rotation for this celtics team for a few years.

He's signed for reasonable $ and now that he is giving us something you would only trade him if it was a definite upgrade for the team.  I was hoping NEXT YEAR he'd give us minutes as a combo guard off the bench.  Great improvement and next year he'll only be better.

I don't see any way that Avery is worth less than George Hill.  I actually think George Hill is a very comparable player, but Bradley has a little more athleticism.

5-15.

He's a young athletic top level defender with some very nice offensive potential.

His age and potential is comparable to the guys who will be available.

Somewhere between 12 and 25 picks.

Lottery teams are basically in rebuilding mode that they would have to choose a player who could impact their offensive thrust. Thus, AB would have to be taken in by teams that somehow had established a degree of success in their current season campaign.

At the moment his value is much more valuable to the Celtics than to anyone else.

First, the Celtics have him under a team friendly contract for at least 3 more years.

Second, he makes diddly squat so any established player you want to trade him for will be difficult because you will have to make the salaries work, which means sending off another higher priced player with him.

Third, this might not even be his breakout year as he is just 21 and still developing. The C's could be trading away the next Michael Cooper or Joe Dumars, you just can't tell right now. Heck, how many people were calling him garbage and other such stuff on this sight just 3 months ago. Look what happened in three months. Imagine what could happen in two years?

While I doubt he is untradeable, I do think the thought of trading Bradley right now is nowhere even close to being an option in Danny's mind and he would need to be bowled over by an offer to consider it.

I don't see any way that Avery is worth less than George Hill.  I actually think George Hill is a very comparable player, but Bradley has a little more athleticism.

Hill had a longer track record of success, a rookie season where he played 16.5 mpg followed by two seasons of 28-29 mpg, with 39.9% and 37.7% from three in his last two seasons with Spurs.

If we're talking about trade value, we're talking about how GMs around the league value him, not how he should be valued.  Hill has a longer history of better shooting statistics, so I expect that he would be more desirable than Bradley this off-season.  If Bradley doesn't fade next season, that relative valuation will probably change next year at this time.
