If you look at range stats, Rondo has been pretty much the same shooter his whole career.  He just "looks" more confident now.

The past 2 years hes actually had a huge decline in his 3-9ft percentage (floaters).

He always was, and will continue to be, a league average jump shooter.

I give credit where it is due. Rondo's mid range jumper has definitely improved, no doubt about that

his FTs is starting to look promising but still pretty low. I do like how he's attempting more free throws now due to him driving to the basket more. It's a confidence thing

Its so hard for a guy with big hands to shoot the ball effectively
Just ask Shaq and Wilt
Or Garnett. Or Dirk. Or Gasol.

This is a lame excuse. Stop it already.
Yeah I agree with this.

Rondo can shoot; his issue IMO, is his timing.  He shoots better off balance/off the dribble than a standing shot, therefore, I think he needs to shoot the ball more when he's in motion (with confidence).  I think Bradley's emergence and decent jump shot has lit a fire under Rondo a little bit too.

Also, I think he should change his footing/square up for his freethrows.  Pierce went from a 75/80 %er to about an 85% free throw shooter after simply changing his approach (feet). ;D
Truuuuuuuuuth!
