how about we consider who just came in to Boston

Spurs deep on an 8 game winning streak and destroying teams scoring 100+ points every game

contrast to the spiraling miami heat

celtics have hanged in there, this game is still theres to be won

what sucks is Doc's defensive scheme doesnt allow for players to stick to there man

thats why you see so many cross court weakside passes to open spot up shooters

for some reason , probably because we are so small, the celtics sag off towards the middle of the paint and allow for that crosscourt pass to be made

small ball with one center maybe..but not full small...when duncan is out there...who would do that...really....
Can you argue with the results...it cut 6 points off the lead.

I would have preferred we went small when KG was on the floor.  At least then we would have had a rebounder/rim protector in there.

Bass did do a nice job though (except on the boards).  Some nice defense on Duncan, a great steal and good rotation speed.

I would have preferred if just for once, we tried going big instead of small, with Steimsma and KG both out there.

We did.  That's when Bonner hurt us.

We don't have a reliable 3rd big.  Stiemsma can struggle against perimeter bigs and pick/pop/roll game.

Why are people complaining about/blaming Ray? He started, yeah, and hasn't played well, but Avery's played more minutes than him so far so what's the problem?

Its because we get off to very slow starts when Ray is starting because our lineup is too slow, old and weaker defensively.

Our biggest problem has been getting off to slow starts, with Bradley starting, it fixed that.

Now you see what happens when he isnt starting, we have to play catch up because our first half sucked.

You're just telling any lie you can to get your point across.

We started off old and slow because Ray started...yet we started off with the lead.  It was actually in the 5 minute mark when Bradley came in that everything started to go downhill.

I'm fine with Bradley starting but you don't need to try to blame Ray for things that have nothing to do with him just to make that point

Bradley came in with 3:34 left in the 1st and SAS ahead 21-18.

and things went drastically downhill

  • You say when......
Ry needs to be an "off the bench" guy....he is more of a specialist, it was good to have him and peitrus in there....when ray hits a few, and peitrus slashes...it really is good..but ray is maybe a D liability..or close....

The only lapse I saw was Ray not closing out on a weakside 3. Outta that, I'm not sure what more he could've done. If Rondo can't guard the pick and roll and our bigs are getting easy hoops, is that really Ray's fault?
well..one play...no....but as an older guy.covering 22-25 year olds..and then being the go to shooter....it probably won't hold up as good results....hey, maybe it will....but i would say off the bench is better...so he can hit it hard, then rest.....

If I'm Bradley's agent I'm telling him not to report for the next week, then I'm calling and demanding a trade in the off season.

It's just absurd at this point. The disrespect is pretty epic now. There's obviously nothing the kid can do right

That was also the moment KG sat down.  Bradley tied the game with two of his 13 first half points with 8:57 left in the second, but SAS was up by eight when Ray came back with 7:31 left in the 2nd.

to me he is our best cutter....slasher....and he is finishing VERY well...not a good idea putting ray in after an ijury vs SA..try the wizards maybe....no need to rush...i say...
