Rajon Rondo now has 19 career triple-doubles. Charles Barkley had 20 in 16 seasons. At number 14 we find Micheal Ray Richardson with 21. Next is Chris Webber with 22. In comparison, LeBron James has 32 in 8 seasons.

Very, very impressive, Rajon, keep it up.

I wonder how many players under 6'3 and less than 200 lbs have triple doubles?

Also, I love it that Rondo does it in big games.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

One.
I thought Jason Kidd was good at it too. Is he taller/heavier? How about Nash? Has he got any?

I just checked and Michael Adams (5'10, 162) had a triple-double back in 1991.

Jason Kidd is 6'4, 209.

Nash is 6'3. From what I could find he only has two career triple-doubles.

Only 6 players have more playoff triple doubles in their careers than Rondo's had in the last three playoffs.

It's impressive, but didn't Larry Bird once say that he could have had a triple double any time he wanted to, but it wasn't always what the team needed?  Stats are nice and all, but triple doubles are really pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of life.

The important thing about Rondo's game today was that he controlled the game, and came up huge in the win.

Sure, stats are only stats, but our point guard can control a game like no other when he's on.  Even when he's just quietly running the show and dishing the ball like he has been in the last couple of weeks, he's pretty special.

If the old warriors can keep up their pace and the young bench can give some consistent energy, this is an elite basketball team.

Indeed.

Wins, I care about. Triple doubles, I don't.

The win is the most important thing but I do believe Triple doubles are also important.

In the scheme of things, you kind of want your Bigs to try and put up Double Double in points and rebounds, you want your pg to put up double doubles in points and assists.

Rondo doing this is leading by example. He isnt just playing for himself, he is playing for his team and trying to get as many people as he can into the game. He is doing all he can to get the W and isnt being selfish and trying to put the team on his back. Love his play, favorite player to watch
