One of the hardest things to do is admit when you're wrong. But in this case, it's easy. Early in the year I completely wrote off Avery Bradley as an NBA player. He seemed absolutely lost on the offensive end, and quite frankly I was tired of seeing him get minutes over E'Twaun Moore. I even advocated him being traded. Boy was I wrong.

It's not easy to fill in for a first-ballot Hall of Famer, especially when that guy is the all-time leader in 3pt FG made. Zero Tolerance has done more than just that. He's lit a spark under this team with his defensive intensity and newly-found jump shot. I commend the man for accepting the challenge and performing brilliantly in doing so. He's definitely someone we need to keep around for the future. Again, I was wrong.

What I was right about was the fact that this team still has a run left in them. I believed all we needed was an aggressive KG, and time to get into a groove. Well folks, those two things have come to fruition. We are playing beautiful basketball as of late.

I'm a college student from Arkansas without a reason in the world to cheer for the Boston Celtics other than my love for the game, and an appreciation when it's played the right way. This is why I love this team. We've had every reason to give up on the season and tank for future prospects/talent due to a barrage of injuries, but we never threw in the towel. We are a TEAM in every aspect of the word. Our organization truly cares about every player. I will love the Celtics until the day I die.

I also completely completely wrote him off the moment he was drafted and his whole rookie year...and now he's on my fantasy keeper league

I wrote him off as a pg. I think I still do. But the kid is a great sg prospect.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Me Three but he is not a PG, he doesn't have the instincts.   But our backcourt is good for the future with him and Rondo.   We just need young front court guys now.

He just needed confidence and some minutes without being over played. For the people who say that doc doesn't handle rookies and young players right, look at how he's handled Avery's development and slowly increased his minutes. Perfect coaching.

But..But...But......Doc doesn't play rookies!

The reason why matters not.

Bradley isn't a rookie though.

I'm one of those who gets on Doc a lot about not playing rookies, and I still think it's excessive, but that's probably just me being stubborn. Seeing Bradley emerge has shown that Doc doesn't forget about guys just because they're young. Just because Doc doesn't think a guy is ready in year one doesn't mean that Doc won't use the guy when he is ready. I think that's the biggest hope for guys like Johnson. With a year in the system and hard work on his part, Bradley made himself ready to play in the NBA. And when he got where he needed to be, Doc started using him. So seeing this, I remember to trust Doc a lot more. And I trust Doc's opinion that Johnson isn't ready. Doesn't mean Johnson can't and won't have a good NBA career, just means that he's not ready now. But when/if he is, Doc will use him and not ignore him just because he's young. Kudos to Doc for his development of Bradley to this point.
Go Celtics.

Yes, I am well aware.

Mostly I was just being snarky.  But my point was people need to lay off Doc.  He knows what he's doing.  When he doesn't play the young guys, it's for good reason.   When they're ready, they play.

But I thought he was one of the best cutters in the league and you only need to show him things once...as opposed to Glen Davis I guess

I'm not even sure what this means or is implying.

Are you saying we should have traded Bradley for Bass instead of Baby?

I'm implying Doc likes to lie. He plays vets. If Bradley was one of the best cutters in the league (and one of the best defenders) and you only had to show him something once he would have been playing a while ago.

He's playing cause Ray is hurt. As soon as Ray gets back to his slow but healthy self Bradley is going to the bench, largely not to be seen again, until maybe another injury. Don't get used to this
