Just to be clear: Blazers claimed Hickson off waivers (waiving Okur to open a roster spot). Hickson did not pass through waivers and then sign with Portland.

I believe Portland must have used a TE from a deadline deal to claim Hickson.

Wow. Hickson was in New Orleans, where Golden State is playing, in anticipation of clearing waivers and signing with the Warriors. Now he's heading to the Pacific Northwest.
