Rasheed Wallace will wait until after Friday's deadline of players waived eligible for playoffs before decision on coming out of retirement.

I'm down with Sheed the thing is are we interested? I thought I remember reading a while back we weren't and the feeling was mutual with him as well.

If I remember correctly, teams can sign players until the 27th of April?, And Friday ends the deadline?
I still think if Sheed is in the shape, he should try his return to playoff, another thing is that teams may be interested in Sheed.

Miami is what has been rumored, Lakers?

I think teams like Sixers and Hawks...

What is clear that Sheed has always been a playoff player. He should not have gone to Boston, should have completed their 3-year contract. I think he anticipated his retirement in that final loss vs. Lakers.

I'd love him to return to the C's, but it is complicated.

I thought roster had to be solidified by the 23rd for the playoffs.  I could be wrong though.

Sheed won't be in shape he wasn't when he played.

I'd take him, but I rather have Shaq come out of retirement.

Players who have played at least 1 game or we're on an NBA roster this season must clear waivers by March 23rd.  This doesn't mean  a player must be signed by that date.  As long as the player cleared waivers by the 23rd, they are free to sign with any team up to the last day of the regular season (April 27th?) and maintain playoff eligibility.

As far as Sheed is concerned, I'd consider him a last resort.  I nothing else becomes available, I'd give him a shot.

I hope ESPN has a free hour of prime time to devote to this...

I read the same thing. Sheed has no desire to come back to the Celtics and the feeling was mutual. I'm confused as to why everyone's pining away for him...we'll see what happens.

We have probably changed our stance since this all circulated while we still had Chris Wilcox and the corpse of JO, but if he doesn't want to be here, I don't want him here.

He can be a low post presence, but he'll most likely be a perimeter presence
