I thought the Fesenko should have been here in training camp.

Fesenko isn't on a team? I like him. Get em but I'd rather have Turiaf if he is healthy.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

With J O'Neal done and Stiemsma now hurting, Ryan Hollins and Kyrylo Fesenko on Boston's radar. Keep an eye on a Reggie Evans buyout in LA.

Hollins is the basketball equivalent of a hockey goon. Six hard fouls and 10-15 minutes a night of elbows in his man's midsection. Not saying that's a bad thing.

Fesenko's name has been mentioned before. Reggie Evans as a buyout candidate? That's news.

He's got to be misinformed.  Hollins isn't a free agent (on the Cav's roster) and the Clips have no reason to buy out Evans.  He's in their rotation.

Good catch with Hollins. The Evans thing also seems a stretch.

Fesenko is a no-brainer. He's terrible offensively, but he's:

a) available
b) 25 years-old and 7 foot, nearly 300 lbs
c) elite defender at the 5 (no, seriously), albeit with a fouling problem

Check out his on/off court numbers. Apparently Synergy stats, previous years, etc. all tell the same story so this isn't just a fluke:

Not saying he's a world-beater, but IMO a better pickup than Turiaf.

Fresenko over his 4 year career has averaged about ...

8 minutes a game,
2.3 points per game,
2.0 rebounds a game,
0.4 blocks a game, and,
1.7 fouls per game.

If these averages were to hold up, he would regularly foul out in about 26 minutes of play and provide 7 points, 6 rebounds, and under 1 block.

For the sake of reference, the steamer In 10 minutes a game averages
1.9 points,
2.7 rebounds,
1.2 blocks, and ,
2.1 fouls.

So, our beloved steamer would foul out in about the same amount of time as fresenko, but provide about 6 points, 7 rebounds, and 3+ blocks.

Color me meh on fresenko. Next.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Fesenko's not bad as a situational big, but we need someone who can play regular rotation minutes
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

If you believe at all in +/-, Stiemsma is absolutely terrible while Fesenko is fairly decent.

This year we are +4.7 per 48 (Stiemsma OFF court). We are -17.3 with him ON the court. Now these numbers can be misleading, but -22.0 net is horrendous.

Fesenko's net +/- in a similar role for Utah was around +6 to +8 the last few years.

That said, we're trying to fill 1 or 2 roster spots, not compete directly with Stiemsma?

Unless there is a surprise buyout, that someone doesn't exist.

Boris Diaw and Ronny Turiaf are better options.

Well, if we're doing a "last rodeo," might as well bring back Sheed so we can at least try to relive 2010. Plus, he's a better rebounder than any of the other guys I've heard mentioned (Turiaf, Gadzuric, CJ).

Bring back Sheed , sign Fish and start filming Space Cowboys part 2!  ;D

Seriously though, we need someone young , an energy guy... See what Faried did to us? We need youth, speed, athleticism and beef!

I'd like to see Ainge and Doc give Keith Benson a shot. His name has been mentioned as a possible candidate and he was a good shot blocker in college.

Ronny Turiaf can be a regular rotation player. No question.

Yeah, I think Turiaf should definitely go to Miami. Title contender. Good role available there for him. Best opportunity.
