Faried is something else.  How great would he have been on this team?

He'd be great sitting on the bench next to Moore. That's how it works in Rivers rookie dog house.

Tough Loss.

Holding out hope that we can get a decent big next week or so.

Still optimistic, here. Just need to hold the fort until the playoffs.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
Last bucket for the Celtics came at 3:29.

We've went cold in the last minutes of a game way too often.

We should have beat them.

Those announcers sucked. I've never heard an announcer get that fired up for his team making 2 free throws.

At least the longest road trip of the season is now on the downside.

Pierce fouling out doomed us. No one scored after he left.

That can't happen.  >:(

The Celtics aren't quitters. Why should you be? - blind homer

This. As long as we make it in the playoffs no matter what seed    we will land, there's a still a chance.

KG is looking great lately. If we get this KG in the playoffs with a legit center, then we have a shot.

The one chance this team has is to maybe get to the second round.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Outrebounded 46-27. Keep playing small ball, Doc.

Small ball didn't help but our personnel doom us to bad rebounding nights.

Rondo and KG are the only above average rebounders on the team.

The fact that Johnson isn't getting minutes despite us hurting for size so badly says a lot.

  • GOT IT!!!
Faried is something else.  How great would he have been on this team?

He is good and would love to have him, but he doesn't get to play the Celtics every night and pad his stats.

He has padded his stats against a lot of teams this year. Dude is pretty good and to think he's only a rookie.

I notice a lot of you are saying seeding doesn't matter. However, I think it is extremely important we pass Atlanta (doable). I'm much more comfortable with a first round series against Orlando the Chicago or Miami.

I agree. IMO, Doc cost this team the game.

1. small ball
2. Dooling/Bradley line up again (luckily after 12 games of it not working, he changed in the 2nd half).
3. 2/3 zone --two game in a row the other team went on a massive run when the Celtics went into it.

As close as the game was and as bad as the calls were late, the Celtic players can't overcome bad coaching mistakes. They are not that talented and deep anymore.

Got out-rebounded by 19, 10 on the offensive glass.  That's the game, right there.

Not sure what to expect re the addition of bigs at this point...is JO really done for the year?  Chris Johnson (is he really a big?).  Clearly, that's where we have the biggest problems....

I'm telling you. This celtics team wants chicago or miami in the 1st round. I believe they prefer it that way. They would have their best shot at them fresh and healthy instead of going two rounds before meeting them.

I agree with all of these points. The 2/3 zone especially has to go

I would also prefer Orlando in round 1, but listening to Doc and the players talk about seeding, it's obvious that they don't care, and they way they are playing backs that up
