Sign him if we can get him.  He can grab some rebounds, scowl at some dudes, and give Green some rehab tips.  Sounds fine to me.

The Celtics can pretty much guarantee decent playing time for a big.

Miami can't. They have a better shot of a championship so if you want to sit on the bench if you think you have a better chance at a ring but if you want to really be a part of a team and get playing time then you come to the c's

I think people are underestimating this. Players want to go to contenders but usually they want to have some what of a role on that team

If the Lakers hadn't gotten Hill yesterday, I'd have said Turiaf would be heading to LA. Maybe he still does.

TP, great point, especially if it's someone like Turiaf who is playing for a contract and trying to show his worth.

I think Turiaf, if healthy enough to play, would replace most of what we got from JO.  Not the same post defender, but a similarly competent paint patroller/weak rebounder/weak offensive player.  That would be a nice pick-up.

Perhaps Pietrus can call in the French Connection and get us Turiaf and Diaw.  An awful pair on the boards, but good defensively, and both capable of making an impact off the bench.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Turiaf would be an excellent pickup for the C's.  Just a good energy big who can defend and rebound.

Not a great rebounder -- too bad considering that pain point for the Cs.

I'd take him at this point though I wish he was a better rebounder...

Whoever they bring in needs to be a veteran who at least has some chance of being reliable at playoff time.  If you're going to go to the D-League, you're better off playing Johnson.

Turiaf may be about the best we can realistically hope for - and he doesn't do anything for me.

I think Johnson may be as good an answer as any.

Pietrus and Turiaf both are French. That maybe could be one reason why Turiaf should play for us

True, Pietrus could turn up the recruiting pitch. Bring in Diaw, and you've got the Three Musketeers off the bench.
