and I think he would be a decent addition to this front-court.

Recently acquired Ronny Turiaf will be waived to make room for Wilson Chandler according to multiple reports released on Thursday.
As long as Turiaf's hand is in good shape then he has a pretty good chance of picking up somewhere else. Boston and Miami are two locations that come to mind off the top of our heads. Mar. 15 - 11:02 pm et

Turiaf would be an excellent pickup for the C's.  Just a good energy big who can defend and rebound.

I would be all for signing him. Him and Wilcox have always played a similar game when I have watched them and I think he would be a great pick up for us is we can get a roster spot open. Unless Kaman gets bought out. I would like to see Kaman as our first option.

I say this with only half jest...but I wonder if he would be able to pass a physical for the C's though.

Turiaf can rebound? His rebounding is on par with Big Baby Davis, maybe even slightly worse. He'd be our worse rebounding big and that's saying something.

He broke his hand at the start of the season, can he play this season? I doubt he'd pick Boston anyway. Not even sure Ainge is interested.

We lack size and height....AND GIRTH.

Perk, Shaq, Baby at least provided some girth with their wide(er) bodies.

That space created could help our box outs and rebounds....

If it turns out Ronny has physical issues and can't play, no loss cause we were in that position for most of the year anyway.

Feel like Turiaf would end up in Miami. Bummer.

Turiaf is not a good rebounder, which is our biggest need. However, he has great hands and he's a good defender. He doesn't score much, but does so at an efficient clip, and he knows his role on offense and isn't a liability.

He does have a heart issue. He had surgery to correct it several years ago.

Quote
After a physical exam conducted by the Lakers just four weeks after the draft, team doctor, John Moe, found an enlarged aortic root in Turiaf's heart. After multiple examinations by other physicians, the Lakers decided that the problem, which was cleared by doctors in both France and the NBA's pre-Draft camp, was serious enough to require surgery. The Lakers were forced to void Turiaf's contract but retained his rights in case he was cleared to play again after the surgery. In addition, the team paid for all the expenses from the surgery. Turiaf underwent the six-hour open-heart surgery on July 26, 2005. His expected recovery time was between six and twelve months.[4]

I hope not, but my gut says Miami too.

Maybe because of him playing for two of our biggest rivals (Lakers/Knicks) and given the intense, negative emotions that the Cs evoke in other rivals, I can see him jumping on the Heat bandwagon.

Either way, I hope that we get two bigs of Kaman, Diaw, Turiaf or CJohnson. We need the bodies bad.

Kaman and Diaw would be ideal.

Well he's tough, I'd be fine with him as a big off bench behind kg, bass and stiesma.
