If we land a buy out player does that mean we are cutting someone? not sure what wilcox out does to roster spots?

Yeah, we'd have to either buy out JO or Wilcox, or both.

If possible, I might like to carry Wilcox on the roster through the rest of the season. He could be brought back next year for reasonable money.

I think that's more likely.

There's got to be something we can do with the Wilcox situation where we don't have to straight up waive him to make a roster space.  Isn't there some kind of special injury circumstances exception that allows you to fill the roster spot, but not have to waive the guy?

Is the big Ukrainian comedian/basketball player, Kyrylo Fesenko, still floating around out there?

is it possible that Denver will release one or their centers? after the trade they have 1.McGee, 2.Koufos, 3.Mozgov, 4.Birdman, 5.Turiaf.  McGee, Birdman, Turiaf are in the last year of deals, so maybe they could release one of the later two?

I still think that not only will Kaman be waived, I think there's a good chance that Danny has already spoken with him and/or his agent and he's coming here.

Don't underestimate the impact that our cap space next year will have on his decision.  Any team he signs with will NOT have his Bird Rights.  Thus if he goes to Miami or any other contender, he'd have to to settle for a minimal raise over the minimum, and at best the MLE if he re-signed with them next year.

If he comes here (at least in theory) Danny could re-sign him to a large deal OR help facilitate a sign and trade with the cap room.

Birdman would be nice. So would Koufos.

Chris Andersen has two years and a total of $9.3m left on his contract after this season.  The Celtics might have been able to get him for matching expiring contracts and a second round pick.

Birdman has two more years, I believe. They won't release him. Additionally, the thought of Birdman and Javale McGee teaming up in the frontcourt ought to be exciting (and not necessarily always in a good way).

If anyone on the Nuggets is getting cut, it's probably Julyan Stone.

There is such a rule as an injured player exception.  But the injury has to happen really early in the year for you to use it.  With the lockout/shortend season I'm not sure how it's handled this year, but I'm thinking we're already passed that point.
