I think we should absolutely sign him but not until the offseason.

He may as well give it a shot with Phoenix and their medical staff.

This is his only shot in the NBA.

I hope he does sign there. He seems like a good guy and hopefully he gets a chance to do well. Phoenix would be his best hope.

Sure but why would we want him? Hes played 82 games over the last three years. Why waste a roster spot on another big man that can play for us?

Because he is a 7 footer with talent.  There is always the chance that he could stay healthy.  Short term contract is a low risk, high reward move for a team looking to rebuild with one big man under contract next year.

exactly. Also, because Sasha, Quisy, Wilcox, and JO are just doing so much for us right now that we can't afford to drop all 4 of them. I guarantee you we won't find 4 big men out there this year that can help us in the playoffs, so might as well get 1-2 big men for this year, and 2-3 guys that may help in the future. Rebuilding starts in small steps.

I wouldn't sign him now.  In the offseason, yes.  Now, no point.

The guy has had THREE, that's right THREE microfracture surgeries in his left knee. It would almost be a miracle were he to come back as a contributor. Notice you dont see GMs rushing to sign him up. It's horribly sad, but its prob over over for Greg.

Danny absolutely needs to take a flier on this guy. Keep expectations low and hopefully he is past the knee issues and can contribute.

I am still for this as long as the Celtics sign another guy (KG for example) that can be the starting C.

Something about this statement just seems wrong lol. The word ONLY and 2 MILLION should never be in the same sentence!

I see virtually no likelihood that this guy will ever make it through most of an nba season
