Let's fix this: The Lakers have traded Derek Fisher and a 2012 first-round pick (via Dallas) for Jordan Hill, league sources tell Y!

alright makes more sense

By taking on Derek Fisher, Houston Rockets also get Dallas' 2012 first-round pick that Lakers acquired in the Lamar Odom trade in December

per marc stein

still an unbelievably dumb move by rockets

Why? They just acquired Camby, they've got Morris, Parsons, Patterson, and Scola who can play the 4, and they just picked up a 1st round pick from a fringe lottery team for their troubles. Score.

Makes sense for Houston.  Lowry is having health issues and they just aquired Camby to go along with Dalembert - no more PT for Hill.  Grab a veteran guard and a 1st rounder to boot? Makes a lotta sense.

Really nice day for Mr. Kupchack.

This gives the Lakers a ton of big man depth:

(Bynum, Gasol, Hill, McRoberts, Murphy, Eyenga)

Eyenga is a three, but yeah, real good insurance policies in McBob and Hill.

To be fair, they went from two firsts to zero firsts. And I think they still have Walton.

That's wrong... Fisher deserved to retire a Laker. I didn't think they would ever trade him. Wow.
If Fisher cared about the Lakers more than he did money, he'd have never met with Riley in 2010. Have fun on the Rockets, flopper.

Probably not but they should be the Thunder's biggest threat in the West. That frontcourt gives them more than a chance.

Thought Eyenga was a 2/3

The problem is Fisher was Kobe's closest confidant, and a huge locker room leader. Has the possibility to really damage team chemistry and p--- Kobe off big time (he already cancelled an interview he previously had).

He probably will retire a Laker.  Sleazeball will probably whine and get his contract bought out like he did with the Jazz.

I laugh when announcers and analysts grovel all over this guy...Calling him "classy".  He's classless both on and off the court.
