Looks like Danny didn't pull the trigger today....the Big 3 will have a chance to go down fighting.

What now? We sit back and watch this team not get a lotto pick, but then lose in the first round.

So we don't get the impact player we need in a loaded draft AND we don't get another title run.

Good stuff by Danny Ainge.

I wish Danny had this much patience last year.  :-X

we get owned in the first round.

Way to go.  I'm really disappointed.  You either improve for now or improve for the future.  Standing pat is moronic.

Stuff trickles in after the deadline... but I've suddenly lost a lot of confidence in Danny Ainge.

Even if Danny Ainge had gotten Dwight Howard and D-Wade today people on these forums would still find a reason to call for his head. Because rooting for a team is all about being as negative as possible, and making cynical comments instead of just enjoying the fact that we are a good team.

Or we are just realistic.

And we are not a good team. We are a mediocre team, with no big man depth and tons of injury problems.

Perfect recipe for a 1st round exit.

TP.

I didnt want any of our core gone. We just need a little big man depth. Seeing some of the deals that went down...key players being moved for filler and picks...I can't say I'm not disappointed.

Cynical =/= realistic.

Seriously, people are acting like there was some magical trade out there that would have made us instant contenders. There probably wasn't.

Trades just for the sake of trades don't help anyone.

If someone had offered the equivalent of Jeff Green and a first round pick, Ray Allen would have been gone, unless Ainge has a heart attack out of joy and dies while on the phone.

LOL getting a legit center isn't just making a trade for the sake of making a trade.

Personally, I think either way there was no chance they would be a contender which I why they should have blown it up on March 1st. But since they decided against that they needed to trade for a Center. Period.

Now we are stuck in the middle. Without a lotto pick and with a early playoff loss extremely likely. Getting a center would have helped their chances if they are going to try to make a run. Just stupid that they didn't.

What does a legit C cost?  Hill cost a 1st rounder.

They are already blowing it up, this coming year.

Sounds like Ainge didn't want a third low first round pick for Ray Allen. I haven't heard any other blow up trades that were on the table for him.

The cost would be long term money like Okafor's eating up the C's cap for the next few years.
