Also, who cares? The Heat aren't the Lakers, there's no reason to have existential hate for their organization. I don't like D-Wade, personally, but I really don't see what all the hate is about. They got their comeuppance in last year's Finals (and, honestly, at this point I see the Bulls as the stronger team to come out of the East, so I wouldn't even bet on them winning this year either), so just let them play.

I don't hate the Heat either, but they are a Conference rival that we may meet in the postseason trading him now or buying him out only give them a player who might be used against us in the playoffs. If he can't play, IR him.

Ainge should have never wasted the MLE on this guy.

If Ainge hadn't signed JO, the money probably would have gone to sign Brad Miller.

......Who at least shows up in uniform.

To give JO the benefit of the doubt, perhaps he thought he would be traded, as has been rumored regularly, and the report was taken out of context since he most likely would've been bought out by the team acquiring him. This was in fact the case during the pre-season when we would've needed his contract to sign & trade for David West. In that event, he would not be eligible to re-sign with the Celtics under the new CBA rules. Again, I just find it hard to believe that JO would disrespect KG, Allen, Pierce, Doc, and Ainge by requesting a buyout to sign with the Heat.

I agree, a lot of questionable information out there...
Let's give JO the benefit of the doubt on the wanting to get traded to Miami until someone shows some more info.

Let's hold off on calling for JO's head unless we actually know for a fact this is happening.

I mean seriously, how many rumors have there been in the past 24 hours alone that have been blatantly false? Like Hollinger continuing to insist Rondo is on the trading block.

I would honestly bet money that this was pulled out of someone's butt and has no basis in reality.

Oh, C'mon, guys, what's the fun in that.  Let's start foaming at the mouth instead and bring out the pitch forks.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
So is there any proof of this or are people just blindly believing another rumor from the ever credible hoopsworld.com?

JO's given a lot to this team.
Played with injuries and played through a lot of pain this season.
If he feels the C's were trying to move his contract to try and get a healthier big, he may have wanted to go to Miami to try and get a ring. I really can't see much wrong with that.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

If he wants to go let him he isn't that good and it might actually help us.  KG would win that match up in the playoffs hands down.  Even Bass could guard Jermaine at this point.   Greg could guard him easily.

Its coming from a pretty reliable source Wojo.

Also he didn't really refute anything in his twitter. Just said don't believe everything you hear etc. He's obviously not going to publicly say he wants to go to Miami, but he could have publicly stated that he wants to stay on the Celtics for the rest of the year

The villification around here has been pretty intense.  It seems a tad bit vicious and over the top based on a rumor, even if it is from a "pretty reliable source."  I'd like to hear more from JO himself before I jump to too many conclusions.

Looks like he's spoken, and he is denying the rumor:

Coming from twitter...."I'm working really really really hard to come back and I really really want to help the C's win"

lol.

Well we'll find out soon regardless.

Can you believe this was a guy doc said looked "phenomenal" in preseason? All I have to say is he better be injured.  Because there is a big big difference between being hurt and being injured

I wonder if JO's body would have held together if Doc had started the season with KG at center and limited JO to no more than 15 minutes a game, instead of the 23 he was averaging?

Haha just pathetic how we are talking about JO. I've never heard of having to limit a guys minutes to 15 in order to preserve them. I guess shaq in the playoffs last year when he had 1 leg. Jo was playing 0the minutes last year and somehow was still injured.  Also isn't it like his hand?
