Expect the trade activity to pick up now.

Could be good for the Celtics if they are truly sellers.  All those assets being held back for Howard may now be on the table.

Just wondering out loud here, but, it kind of seems like Dwight was shamed into this.

Unless he really does want to stay in Orlando, this was a foolish move on his part.  He's cost himself money, and is putting both parties right back into the same scenario next season.

Looking forward to this drama all over again next year!-LOL! ::)

I don't think so. I think his agent was trying to push him into leaving, and Dwight himself didn't really want to. I say good for him, he made a wise choice and has a great situation in orlando.

I think there is a pretty good chance that he was guilted into this (rather than shamed). I've read places his mom wanted him to stay, I know Otis Smith's job hangs on his staying. He was drafted as a pup outta hike school and he seems to like the area and the organization, just not the current roster.

so with dwight out of the FA picture next season, who should we pursue now that we have a lot of cap space?

I think it would probably be best to punt our cap space for another season.  Not saying we should "bring back the band" one more time, but it would be wise to avoid too many long term commitments.

This year upcoming FA crop isn't very impressive.

Weird weird 24 hours for Magic fans, I'm glad all their hopes ended up coming true in the end. That'd be really crappy to go through the huge rollercoaster.

Restricted free agent Ryan Anderson.

Either a player that is a star, has true star potential or punt the cap space to the next year.  (one year deals)

I would go for Ersan Ilyasova this summer with our cap space
