Raptors get a second-round pick in exchange from Pacers for Barbosa

Proof that cap room sometimes is awesome. That cap hit might help us along with Kaman though.

On the other hand, this probably means that D. Jones and/or AJ Price are out of their rotation, which should be an improvement.

I like AJ Price.

I do too, but he's reeeally struggling this year.  33% from the floor, 28% from 3.  That's not gonna cut it...

didn't Spears post something that's also on the front page oc CB though saying that due to some trade kickers or contract clauses, the C's can't trade for Kaman unless they give up one of the big three to make the $$ work?

Shamsports lists Kaman's contract for this year as having a trade kicker that already went into effect when he was traded to NO.

I don't see how Indiana could have slotted Kaman into their available cap space, but the Celtics couldn't acquire him without having to give up a member of the Big Three.

That sucks. I guess it's buyout or bust for Kaman coming to Boston then.

Indiana had $14,331,000 in cap room. That's enough to take in Kaman's contract ($14,030,000).

JON+Wilcox+Dooling is also enough to match up salaries.

Won't argue w/trade checker, but people involved say major player would have to be included. May have to do w/contract clauses.

Use Ray.  Do the 18 chase without him.  Tell him to enjoy the early vacation this year with some crawfish stew and Mardi Gras pudding....then after he's fattened up and rested, bring him back for next year's bench and a chase of banner 19.  Life is good.

Toronto was going to cut Anthony Carter if they didn't trade him. Two sources say he's in the deal to Indy.

This means Toronto will be under the minimum salary threshold and with two open roster spots.

Good destination for a salary dump.
