I wonder if they're happy taking back expirings at all though. Seems like any team out there with cap space and a second rounder who wanted Kaman would be in luck here as the winner, because NO gets back a trade exception as well.

If it's this years second round pick that will be pretty high up in the second round, so should have some value I would think.

I think he's going to the Pacers. They can offer huge savings since they don't have to match the entire contract. Bird did a great job managing that team, they should try to go after Melo in the offseason if he still seems unhappy in NY. Granted fillers for Melo would be great for everyone, Imo.

Between Hibbert, Kaman, Foster, Hansbrough, West, Granger, George, the Pacers are gigantic. That's 7 rotation players all over 6'8. We have 1-2 of those.

Wouldnt it be extrememly difficult to get Kaman for a second rounder? Whats his salary 11 mil? Even if we traded JO and Wilcox's expiring plus a second rounder we wouldnt be able to get him right?
