Lakers - Ellis, Biedrins, Watson
Bulls - Gasol
Warriors - Boozer, Asik

Not sure the Warriors make the move, but that is the type of trade I think would work for all teams.

EDIT: Could add in Boston who gives up Allen to Golden State for Asik.  Seems like the type of young player that Ainge might like, but would be a clear signal the C's are throwing in the towel this year.

I don't think the Warriors do it, having Boozer/Lee isn't really better than Curry/Ellis is for them currently

I also have my doubts that the Lakers would go for Ellis. Another ball dominant guard on a team with Kobe would be a challenge to manage.

maybe, but the Lakers could certainly use another pure scorer and Ellis and Bryant would cause so many match-up problems for opposing teams it would be crazy.

Oh yeah they need another perimeter player desparately, just Ellis won't be happy with the number of shots that Gasol is getting and isn't going to impact the game in the other phases like Gasol will.

Why would the Lakers trade away their biggest strength for anything less than a top 10-15 player?

Trading Noah would allow the Bulls to move Boozer to the center position, which could help out Chicago as Boozer is an above average defender against centers.

I am so saving that quote for next year's CelticsBlog Draft.

Could the Bucks get involved?  Been hearing rumors that LA is trying to land Brandon Jennings.

thing is I think Ellis will still get in the neighborhood of 19 shots a game.  He will take Gasol's 13.5 and most of Fisher and Blake's combined 11.  And while Ellis isn't exactly a passing whizz he is averaging 6 assists a game and has made a much more concerted effort the last few years to get others involved.

The Lakers would then need to acquire a PF/C with the trade exception or now less relevant players like Fisher/Blake, etc.

Maybe they trade with the Wizards and add McGee and Blatche to boost the interior.

The Lakers are trying to reduce salary and this trade defiitely doesn't do that.  So they get worse and more expensive?  I don't think so...

Here's what I'd love to ask the Lakers front office:

Why hasn't Memphis' run last playoff make them reconsider what a commitment to the post could do for them? Memphis beat San Antonio, and took Oklahoma to 7; if Gasol and Bynum are almost unquestionably a better tandem than Randolph and M. Gasol, why don't they think their two giants could exceed that success if they focused on working inside-out?

Because they have Kobe Byrant on the team, and he's not going to give up being the focal point of his offense. Not to mention that Kobe also gets a lot of his touches in the post now-a-days. You can't really have 3 players all play in the post playing big minutes.

Finally their supporting cast is awful far weaker than Memphis's group of complimentry players.

Ha, beat me to the punch - I was just about to submit this:

I'd like to title that rant "Why I don't think Kobe Bryant is a top 10 player in the League"

LA gets : T Evans, O Asik

Sac gets : Noah, Watson

Bulls get: Gasol, Hickson

who says no?

Sac, would have a nice young big man combo with Noah and Couisns to go along with a good SG in Thorton. They would need to see if Watson can be a starting PG with I Thomas as his back up. SF would be a weak spot that they would have to address (there 2012 1st rounder could fill this hole Barnes,Kidd-Gilcrest?).

Bulls, sign M James to take Watson's spot. Gasol puts them on top of the east. Hickson gives them an athletic 4th big behind Bozzer, Gasol and Gibosn

LA, Evans would be a super dynamic player along side Kobe and Bynum. Asik is an A+ back up at center.

could also do this if Sac wants to dump Garcia's contract

Kobe would tolerate Evans for about 2 seconds before giving him the death stare.  That would be a match made in hell.
