Well it appears like all the doom-and-gloom 0 for 8's were wrong

Sadly, you're right. I was hoping they'd lose enough games to get them out of the playoffs for better draft positioning.

Being in the middle of the pack in the NBA is pretty much the worst place you can be, and let's not kid ourselves, this team isn't championship caliber.

What sucks about the Philly game, is that like the last one with them, it’s the second of a back to back for the C’s (along with travel), but not for Philly.

So when you watch a Celtics game, do you cheer for the other team, then?

I think we will have more than enough motivation for that game though, i'm not worried

Good job bringing back this thread. I had them at 3-5 so I am already happy with the trip. Tomorrow night will be tough, but 5-3 on the trip would be sweet.

  • GOT IT!!!
I'm fine with 4-4 all things considered. All four losses were to teams with better bigs. Hoping the Pietrus injury isn't to serious.

Four and four

Frankly I am very disappointed with that. We needed at least five wins and preferably six to get some momentum and build confidence that we can beat good teams on the road hen it counts. Last night's 2nd half meltdown against Philadelphia was most discouraging and another lost opportunity to get in 1st place. It goes to show where our weaknesses are. Too slow and too small. Plus we get killed on transition game on turnovers.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

After game 1: "We're terrible! We probably won't win any games. Maybe we'll get 1 or 2."

After going 4-4: "We should have won 6. We're done."
"Suit up every day."

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
The good news if we were Healthy we'd would still be the third best team in the east. The bad news, we aren't healthy and even if we were I still don't like our chances of getting past the second round.

4 and 4 would be a relief based on our age and travel time. Lets see what happens.
