Should've just had Rondo or Pierce charging the lane for free throws in the 2 plays before Bass missed his jumper.

We rely wayyyyyyyy too much on jumpshots, been our weakness for years now.
when bass missed that open jumper he should have drove, gasol was only guy and he was under rim
tommy i'm sure was yelling for the celtics to take it to the hole!

No you take your bread and butter jumper especially if you don't have good handle and are WIDE OPEN. You do that every single time
not if you have a 2 dribble drive for dunk or foul and stop the clock
if bass misses the jumper who is in position for rebound? no one, rondo was only guy close
drive the lane and make something better happen

He was 12 feet from the hoop and he is not lighting fast. I think they would have closed him down pretty quick. That's just a risky move IMO. He's not a good dribbler and not a good passer. Huge risk of a turnover there. I think you take that shot every time if you are Bass

Agreed, you've gotta take the shot. Especially when you're 6'8 and by the time you get to the whole, Pau Gasol closes any sight of the basket. Take the open look while it's there.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Lakers are 18-2 at home. We came back from a 15 point deficit.
We actually did well to stop them going inside more and our defense was once again, just phenomenal.

Even getting Jermaine in there off the bench would have helped.
There's not much you can do when your starting PF is 6 foot 8 and the two other guys are injured.
We should be proud of this game.
Close game, almost beat the Lakers in LA.
A loss, but a loss to come away from quite happy for me.
This game could have gone either way- especially if Crawford had given us some calls.
Kobe hit some horrible shots, particularly some 3 point shots that were garbage bailouts.
We are 6 and 2 in the last 8 games.
You can't win all those close games. We beat the Knicks and the Rockets in close games, sometimes they get away from you.

This team is improving rapidly and the starting 5 is getting serious defensive continuity.
If we can win 5 of the next 7, that will put us at 26-21 and in a great spot to creep into the top 6 in the East.
Our schedule gets easier towards the end of this road trip and we will have a shot at revenging that Philly loss.
Bucks, Wolves, Wizards, Jazz, Bobcats.
We can potentially be a very realistic 32-23 in 3 weeks time.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

THIS Rajon? The one who showed up today?

Just as good as CP3, plain and simple. Maybe even better.

Rajon Rondo is I think, is a better athlete than CP3.

I know that I'm getting some detractors on this, but I was impressed, to say the very least, with Rajon's command of the game today.

The man was patient....he pushed the ball when he could...he slowed the game down, when it was needed...he hit jumpers...he had 10 assists...he hit a three.

He simply mastered the game. I saw Rajon take a step, today and I'm happy for it.

The only other PG I've seen play THIS WELL vs LA?

Chris Paul. (Speaking of which, Rajon - you'd BETTER show up tomorrow vs CP3).

I am MUCH MORE optimistic about BOS going forward..with THIS GROUP (DANNY, please read :)), than before.

Just get Wilcox and JO back.
