http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/wizards/coach-paul-silas-says-boris-diaw-inactive-for-wednesday-nights-game-against-the-jazz/2012/03/07/gIQACQuixR_story.html

Looks like Silas still wont let Boris Diaw play... and reports still have it that he's requested a buyout or trade.

I feel like this is the best situation for danny to take with the wilcox uncertainty... get a cheap diaw to replace wilcox, and if wilcox turns out to be ok then hey we just have more needed size.

not to mention with his play style I feel like he and rondo would be a good pair as well. This just seems like the best choice for DA to make in this situation. Hey not to mention he and pietrus go back haha

If we're relying on Diaw for frontcourt depth we might as well give up.

He's a poor man's Sheed.

well its steamer right now... unless we're going for an entire blowup here, I wouldn't mind this. I don't actually think diaw is that bad he's on the worst team in the nba right now, get him around guys like kg, pierce, and rondo and I think he'll be a pretty good role player

i guess my point is, if we're resorting to diaw for frontcourt depth, there's no point in even trying to be competitive in the playoffs.  no reason to spend more money.  we'd be better off just giving more minutes to JaJaun and Stiemsma for the sake of developing them.

Diaw doesnt bring it every night but he can certainly put up near triple double numbers on most nights and fill up a stat sheet. I would perfectly happy having Diaw in Green, looking at 8points 7 rebounds, 5 assits in twenty minutes. I think he is a bit underrated and could play a nice role of the bench for us. If he gets bought out Id go for him.... Id trade JO but not sure what else i would give up to make the cap work.

Robert Horry is a poor man's Sheed.

Boris Diaw is just a fat slob.

I don't mind Diaw if he gets bought out by the Bobcats. Question is will his effort level improve on a contender or will he just stay in his world of suck that he's been stuck in the past two years. You never know...

Diaw is more likely to give us quality minutes as a big off the bench than Johnson or Steamer (or an out of position Pavlovic/Pietrus).
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Plus good defense.

Diaw is definitely underrated - at least in this thread.

He's a poor rebounder though. And I really doubt he joins Boston if he gets a buy-out.

thats how I feel, and I think in green he will be... I mean he plays on the bobcats right now, they blow, he hates the coach, the coach hates him, of course hes not motivated.

playing with old friend pietrus, you have rondo, a couple hall of famers and doc and a team that though they arent as good as in recent years are in no way shape or form as bad as the bobcats I think he could put up good numbers or at least be very spirited like pietrus (who hated the suns)

I don't know if he and Pietrus are good friends, but I hope Danny is going that route in recruiting him on an eventual buyout.

Diaw is a very talented player, but is not a Center. He would be great off our bench because he is a very good playmaker from everywhere on the court. He can score and pass, and he's no Rodman, but he plays tough when motivated.

If he's bought out, get him. If it's a trade, I'd rather try to get McGee/Blatche or Beasley/Randolph, who can run with Rondo and could bring a future starter even at the cost of a first rounder.

since no trade happened and we're lookinh for a buyout candidate im bringing my thread here back since Diaw looks like the best guy we could get right now
