  • Rondo = Good
Blow it up and give me another 2012 1st rounder preferably before 25 and I'm happy.

I feel the same, although I would be really happy if Ainge found a way to turn one of the Big 3 (probably Pierce) into a really promising young player (or handful of young players).

e.g.

Pierce for Splitter / Leonard
Pierce for Turner / Young
Pierce for Josh Smith.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

i imagine ainge has about a dozen trades tentatively agreed to and it's all just contingent on what happens when the big domino falls.  Nothing is getting done until Dwight's situation is worked out.  Then ... the flood gates will open.  Might not happen until the deadline.  I got one more week of avoiding watching this team.

Ponce de Leon is not walking thru that door.

I'm on the blow it up train too. Utah has a slew of young players and 2 top 15 picks this year.

Trade Pierce and Rondo to make Utah instant contenders. We get their two 1sts, Burks or Hayward and two contracts (Jeff/Milsap and Harris) that expire next year. Rebuild on the fly.

Utah will be a contender so only GS's pick will likely be top 15. Would love to have 4 picks in this draft!! And cap space this year AND next!!

DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I promise you all this... the Celtics will make a move & its definitely involving J.O. expiring contract. He's soon to have season/career ending surgery so a team that's willing to clear cap will be happy to get him to help their books for next year.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.

This is the most likely scenario.
I thought stuff might happen earlier given the compressed schedule, but the Nets/Dwight situation is impacting everyones moves.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

If Danny blows this team up, I'm done watching for the rest of the year.

I don't care that they got blown out tonight (well I do, but it's not the end of the world).  It happens.  Older team, on a back to back, after two OT games in the last 4 days.  Call it an excuse, but it is what it is.  I would have just rather seen Doc give the vets the night off (pick your battles).

Plain and simple, at the end of the day, our vets deserve one last chance at glory.  As fans, we deserve to see it through (well I do, the blow-it-up-dolls can go watch the Bobcats annual rebuild).  It may be a small chance, but if we blow it up, there's no chance.

People can take it however they want, it's not meant as disrespect (it's just how I feel), but fans who talk about blowing it up make me sick.  No loyalty.

I will watch follow either way.  I just don't think we can complete for the title so why not see what we can get.  If it is trash ride it out.

i sure wish that we stick to this team...nothing is promising out there anyway..go down fighting than go out picking which could alson turn out to be nothing...makes sense?
