Can't see Dooling being able to provide much more than what either Bradley or Moore can.

Doc being Doc, there's no surprise in seeing him hand minutes to Dooling rather than play Moore or give Bradley some run at the 2.  However, can anyone explain why Moore is in street clothes while this team dresses BOTH Sasha and Marquis?  Doc has cleary made up his mind that neither of those guys are going to sniff the regular rotation, so why keep both of them active while leaving Moore out?

I respectfully disagree ... Dooling would be on my Top Three list of first guys to go ... he has produced very little at either end of the floor, and adds very little energy off the bench. This team needs more spark plugs, not catalytic converters.

That's dead right, Moore is going to waste while Daniels and Pavlovic pick up the DNP's/junk time minutes.

I really like what I've seen from E'Twaun Moore. Arguably he has played better basketball than Dooling overall this season.

Is this a joke? I think it may be. Don't trade KEYON DOOLING? You want this team to win so bad you don't wanna give up KEYON DOOLING?

Stop kidding yourself. This team needs to trade anyone they can (besides maybe Rondo, barring the right deal) to make this team viable for the future... Pierce, Allen, KG, Bass, etc. They ALL need to be expendable so DA can wheel and deal for picks and young talent to build around for years to come.

Some of you people need to stop thinking about THIS season and think about the next 5-7. You think Keyon Dooling will play a part in those years? You are sadly mistaken.

I've been on the outside looking in on this site for a long time, and this post was the straw that broke the camels back and forced me to join.

I LOVE the Boston Celtics, and because of my love for this team I want them to be a contending team for the next decade. That only happens by blowing this team up and building around the young talent that they have and will acquire. Keyon Dooling is not young, and is not talented.

Sentimentality ruins franchises.

I knew it, baby. I knew he would come through when we needed him most. He helped change tonight's game for us along with Daniels.

It's so under-appreciated what guys like Dooling can do to help a team win. Those little things. Daniels was huge for us tonight, too.

I've always kinda like Dooling, at least more than most people, but let's not go too far. He played well tonight but I see him as a poor man's Derek Fisher. Good locker presence and can hit the occasional 3, but nothing more.

Great job by Keyon and Marquis tonight.  We desperately needed someone off the bench to step up for us.

Marquis: +14 in 17 minutes
Keyon: +10 in 20 minutes

Their defensive energy was a big part of tonight's win.

I've been saying this from the start. I have another created thread where I focus on his defense yet again. He can help this team. He gives us some unique things that we need. He may not be some superstar, but we don't need a superstar. We need effective role players that can help us in specific ways. He can help us win games.

Amazing how my opinion could change so much in three months ... love what he's giving us right now, especially on defense.

I take this back, Key. ;)

I absolutely hated watching Dooling play during the regular season and considered myself a lucky fan after he was pulled from the rotation for a long stretch of games late in the season but he's had some very fine performances in the playoffs.  There haven't been many and they haven't been consecutive but his defense was huge in some of the previous two rounds and he was good on both ends tonight.  I've done like a 120 on him and hope he turns me more.

To think, he's contributing in the playoffs and the Celtics get a decent second round pick from him.  Not bad.

He's been HUGE for Rondo......he's been a great mentor and almost like his game by game therapist.......Rondo is one of those enigmatic players that needs to be handled delicately and Dooling has been his confidant

I don't want him back next year.

Dooling has played really well in the playoffs and I am thankful for that but I do not trust him one iota. He has always been a player that stinks it up for the vast majority of the season and then had a few strong weeks here and there. I feel like we've just gotten lucky and he has had his strong weeks in the playoffs rather than earlier in the season.

In the past, in the playoffs for his previous teams, I thought Dooling did a lot of damage to his squads with his erratic decision making, frequent failures to run an offense well enough and streaky shooting.

So while I like what he is doing and am very thankful for his recent strong play, I do not trust him enough to bring him back in a primary backup PG slot.

If Dooling was willing to accept a third string role, I'd be delighted to welcome him back.
