we are again on a roll, 4 games and counting, seems everything are on all cylinders, but with few nail-biting lapses, we are pulling through and winning at that..rumours have already spread out NBAlandia that the days of the big three are numbered not to mention the smokescreen clouding rondo's saleability towards other teams..it's a hit or miss thing, if i were the GM, the team i have cooked out before the season started supposedly has already created the impression that this could lead me to my end goal, further to the playoffs and the championship..but that's not the case, we have shown our usual vulnerability and inconsistency at the onset but remarkably picking up right now..admittedly, ours is not a perfect team but i have to say too that they are all perfect for each other..adversity after the other and overcoming them lately implies that if they will it, we win it..i dunno how far our streak of good fortunes would go, but definitely breaking them up now would mean shattering the good thing going..adjusting the tweaks could be an option, but fixing something that ain't broke is something DA shouldn't do..i said this so many times, there's nothing out there that could change dramatically our fortunes, as many would say, adding a big is good but at the expense of any of the big "4" is courting danger, not only among fans but inside the lockeroom itself..and yeah, i forgot, basketball is business...

I'd rather be in DA's shoes right now than DA's shoes a couple weeks ago.  Our players are looking good.  Pierce hit a big shot tonight and has come out of his slump.  Rondo has been fantastic his last few games.  Ray is Ray.  KG has looked better than he has in years.

In other words... their trade value isn't getting any higher than it is right now.  PERFECT timing for a nuke of the team.  Much better position than a couple weeks ago when everyone looked terrible, the team looked dead and the losses were piling up.

This team has proven without question that they can't beat contenders.  A soft schedule at the right time has really given Danny something to work with.  Hopefully they can keep it up for a couple more weeks so we can go into the trade deadline with stocks high and draft picks to acquire.

Depends what sort of picks though. Late 1st rounders I'm a bit meh, but if we could somehow hook up something like the golden state pick that Utah have then by all means trade away....

Do you remember way back when Danny traded, fan favorite, Eric Williams? It was right after the C's went on a winning streak.  Get the value up, make the trade....sell high, buy low.

I'm not saying history will repeat itself between now and March 15th, but don't kid yourself...Danny will trade anybody, at any time, if the deal gives the C's a better chance at winning Championships.

Being in Danny's shoes right now would be awful. Realistically, our probability of landing Dwight howard is low, and aside from Deron Williams, he's the only UFA that really is a 'can't lose' kind of option.

But, he's still gotta play it out, and keep the money available for him.

Tough racket.

I would love to be in Danny's shoes right now.  His golfing shoes to be exact.

Yeah, he has some difficult decisions to make (although I don't think they are that difficult, because I don't believe that anyone is really doing much to tempt him), but he also has very strong support and buy-in from upper management, and he is in a position where he has the luxury of being patient.

Right now, Danny is just sitting out on the 12th fairway on one of his "scouting" trips, waiting patiently for the phone to ring...but also content with the fact that if it doesn't ring, he is in a solid position this summer to make something happen.

Danny has done a great job of being in what some perceive to be a troubled state.  We are sitting with a team that could be good (high point challenge to be in elc) or make playoffs only.  Expiring deals lined up, draft picks coming in, young prospects jjj & bradley, $$ to go after free agents and a young all star signed.  I can see ainge getting arthritis in his elbow for all the phone calls HE has to answer.  But we are set up pretty good for future moves, he doesn't have to beat the bushes for trades, we don't have to trade anyone.  Ainge might be able to do simple addition to this squad (rebounding) and we will greatly improve.  Unlike NJ if we don't get Howard it isn't the end of the world, they've put all the eggs in 1 basket, if deron bolts and howard doesn't sign they are doormats.

Was the Orlando game an apparition ?  That was some of the most amazing defense I've seen played.

No kidding.  The only problem seems to be the team isn't likely to make the ECF.  How many are?  We're quite possibly one player away.  Not a bad contract on the roster.  Extra draft picks.  Expiring contracts.  Allstar PG.  Jeff Green just waiting to sign.  The possibility of Ray and KG returning as superstar role players for reasonable deals (if they're going to play at all).

Too many options.  Poor guy.

SInce ROndo has been offically proclaimed 'untouchable"  ,  then other maybe JSmith for a big three player off our team , I guess this summer will bring a new Celtics lineup or look.

I'm sure he has lots of schemes up his sleeve.  Might prove to be a really interesting year .
