 Because he's that guy that is so headstrong, so cocky, such a strong ego, and so stubborn that he won't even listen to Doc Rivers at times, one of the most respected coaches in the league.

 It's the fact that he is that guy that you always have to threaten him with his job in this city, and not that Doc or Danny really even want to see him go, I don't think they do.

 It's just that they want to let him know, don't ever get to cocky and too comfortable kid, for his own good. I think it's motivating him to raise his game. And he's not going anywhere.
